- Ukho Ensemble Kyiv (cond. Luigi Gaggero) performs Grisey's "Partiels" (1975) at their debut concert opening the IV Festival of new music. In 2015 the festival focused on 'Visionaries & Illuminati" and was co-hosted by Ukho Agency and Plivka of Dovzhenko Centre.

oh wow, it was so surprisingly pleasant, I felt like I was listening to a ton a Tibetan singing bowls!
Very well done. I've listened to a few other pieces of microtonal music, and I like it from an intellectual standpoint. Emotionally, it takes me places I've seldom been, many of which I wouldn't want to visit again. That's one of the main reasons I avoid psychoactive drugs.

For some reason I keep thinking of a horror movie scene which takes place in rural Illinois. My other guess is uncovering a crystal mountain. Or maybe a mirage of Chicago from Michigan. The trombones that come in are frightening.
