  • In this scene from the movie ’Florian’ (1940), Irina Baronova, as the petulant, grasping and beautiful second love interest, the prima ballerina Trina, tries to hold onto her man, Archduke Oliver (Lee Bowman), against the machinations of the Emperor Franz Josef (Reginald Owen) to marry him into the aristocracy.
You have a sense from this scene not only of Baronova’s great beauty but of her quite considerable acting abilities.
The film was directed by Edwin L. Marin and stars Robert Young and Helen Gilbert.
    Enjoy!

i've heard her talk to camera in interviews and i'm almost certain think her accent is exaggerated here as she's playing a Russian ballerina :)

Откуда "отчетливый русский акцент"?😏 Если она в два года (!) покинула Россию?
