Tico uses what he was born with, but it took Frank many years of practice and honing his skills to be able to play like this. And, of course, this is a great song! I love Team Maglio!

I have a background in Biology. I’ve studied, observed, and fed our local birds in Denver. Since watching Tico, I’ve learned parrots have been around 40-50 million years. Corvids and parrots are particularly fascinating because of their intelligence. I’ve engaged crows and they set perimeters and simultaneously probe my space. I’m too busy to have a pet bird; but I have feeders. It’s very interesting to consider modern birds lineage from tetrapods. I ❤️ these videos. Tico is so awesome.

Does Tico like to sing more at certain times of the day, like mornings vs. evenings, or does it even matter? Are there songs he prefers over any other? I hope you guys do a live show one day so the Tico lovers can ask all our questions. I am sure I am not the only one with many more questions that have piqued not only my interest but also that of your channel's viewing audience.
Love the questions! We can try this live sometime. Tico best performs in the early evening. We have some mid day performances that have been just as great on the weekends but mostly we record the same times for the best result for everybody. Tico does seem to perform better on certain songs. At times we practice a bunch to get better results and he puts more heart and soul into the final take.. Many times. Why I include the bonus videos to give you all we've done.
