Once you collect all the dragon balls, you can play as all the characters you caught via those icons. And yes, there are even characters that fly such as the camera. You can also play as a wolf, a giant robot ecc... It was THE best stuff in this game.
Some characters from the game can use a special movement when the energy bar is full, pressing L and R at the same time. Son Goku can use it only when he's airborne, same for Ten Shin Han. Jackie Chun and Piccolo do it when they're on the ground. It was certainly a nice finishing move.
