Recently i found out you dont even need a wall for this. Actually, you dont need anything. If you superjump ( i recommend binding it to a button as the noise) you can cancel it by using the tornado move and you have maximum speed. Usefull if you need to break a metal block, and have no speed
Something of note is that Noise doesn’t actually maintain the speed forever, and will start losing speed after a while. At that point it’s better to cancel the tornado by pressing x. This can be avoided by going into a gap by starting a roll, which will let Noise run at mach 4 normally. This is still a very useful video, I bet woosting will become as common as grab slides in the future.
the speed of the tornado doesn't decrease, you just get reset back to mach 3 speed upon releasing it with a grab or by not holding down. you can avoid that by uppercutting against a low ceiling in mid-air, releasing down in a gap like you said or taunting a frame before breaking a marble block

Hay, i have discovered another trick while jumping into a wall, stop running (just like this trick) but dont press down just grab away in to opposite direction. this will send you Flying
and the best thing about it is that you can chain this trick so if you fly with the trick into a wall just grab again in the opposite direction but dont hold run and it will do the same thing without any setup

If you hit the wall with a midair grab or press the spin button at any other point of the bounce regardless of whether or not you hold run, the spin always goes the exact same distance. I wonder what exactly it is about the specific combination of mach state + instant press + not holding run that causes it to act differently?

you can infinite jump by jump then hold up and just repeat jump + grab while holding up and make sure to keep notice of direction its basicly was made on purpose because a clothe was made where you just fly with this technique i usually do this when i fall or in need of someway to get up mid air without just respawning

Another tip: When you grab when doing a tornado spin, you enter the mach roll state, so if you let go of down then, you go straight into mach speeds. So, if a wall is nowhere near you, mach run at any speed, jump, press down then when you land press grab and then let go of down to go into instant mach 3. I'm not a speedrunner myself but I think this could be useful in some cases.
oh that's something literally called instant mach 3, usually pretty useful to do from a standstill when at the start of the level or when exiting a door or other locked-movement transition like the rockets in deep dish 9
@@Stain1z grab sliding is not the same thing, it also takes longer to build up speed from a grab slide and you cant immediately act out of one with a jump, grab or taunt. however, grab sliding still works as a slightly slower alternative to instant mach 3 in some areas

you cant exactly use a multibind for this, since the inputs of grab+directional and down happen after each other on different frames as opposed to on the same frame like fastfalls and highjumps
I don’t understand how you can get back to normal Mach 4 running (bullet) after you do the trick because after it you just stay as the drill so how can you become normal again?
that means you really don't have to do the trick in a run if you dont want to, you can get surprisingly far with just movement and level memorisation alone

During my amateur attempts at speedrunning Bloodsauce Dungeon I noticed that every now and then I could immediately cancel out of Tornado into a mach run instead of cancelling into a slide. I still have no idea how to pull this off consistently, so would you happen to know how?
thats likely because of taunt retention, if you are going to break a breakable block on the next frame of movement while in a tornado, you can taunt and then release down when the taunt ends to maintain speed if its being maintained against a low ceiling by uppercutting then thats called uppercut retention and if you are in a tornado and enter a one-tile gap, you can release down while in the gap to maintain your speed when you are out of the gap
oh thats the speedrun practice mod by stackman, currently the only way to get the downpatched version that works on the latest update is by asking in the speedrunning discord server but it should be fully working soon via gamebanana
no, since this is done across multiple frames you cant bind it to a multibind, multibinds are only really used for tech that need several frame perfect inputs like high jumps and fastfalls however, if you use set a key to the multibind "UP + DOWN + JUMP + GROUNDPOUND" and press it right after spinning off the wall with GRAB then you can do an even faster type of woost called a hyperwoost (or hywoost for short)
i would assume you press jump to let go of the ladder and then grab towards the nearest wall, doing the woost as normal from there i may be wrong though since im not terribly experienced with running the game as noise
apparently you can hold down a fast fall multibind (down + grab) as you bounce off the wall and perform a woost that way, but it isn't entirely necessary as the inputs to perform a woost aren't that precise anyway
