Todd had drugged Cristian so he could kidnap Natalie without Cris being a problem. If you want to see those scenes they're at the end of Nat in Hiding (this is a video response to that video).
The 'dude in the tan jacket' is Cristian...he did not die from his wound...he did 'die' in late 2003 but then came back for a little a while (escaped from capture) then left again (jail; pretended not to be himself) and has been back for a while now.
I honesty don't recall that incident...sorry... there is an incident that I can recall where RJ tampered with the stearing in Todd's car and when Cris hotwired Todd's car he crashed and hurt his hand...which temporarily stopped his career as an artist.
