David, as Thomas's collaborator I have been hearing your work lately. The first time he sent me a track you had mastered, I knew right away there was something very different. Thomas really appreciates what you do! Glad to meet you.

Dear Thomas, a lovely Sunday to you and good evening from me. This is very beautiful, very pleasing to the heart. I wish you a lovely day and a wonderful week ahead my dear friend 🙏💖🤗🌿
How very kind, Janet! We are glad you enjoy the music. Thomas asked me to respond to comments on the channel. He's away for a little while. Much love, sister!
@@SophiaMusikYou're most welcome Thomas, it's my pleasure indeed. No worries with your late reply, don't have to apologise. I'm happy to hear that you're traveling, traveling is good and healthy! You take care Thomas 🙏🤗
Yes. I'm amazed at some of the vocalists Thomas knows, and the things he asks them to sing! I know for sure that experience has expanded more than a few singers' repertoire of vocal and improvisational technique. As you know Thomas is away for a little while and he asked me to reply to comments on his behalf. Take care!
The duduk is a double reed instrument with ancient origins, having existed since at least the fifth century, while there are Armenian scholars who believe it existed more than 1,500 years before that. Maybe a duck decoy could have had a double meaning too.
Yes, it's quite a mysterious instrument. Suggest checking out a YT vid from 2019 by sadowick called Interesting Finds : Cicada 3301 - Instar Emergence [761.mp3] They identified the instrument as a Duduk, once again pointing to Thomas. But he only says stuff like "fellowship of creatives" and that he only did a little music and maybe offered some ideas, and he adds he does not code at all. It may be more than modesty: I think he is telling it like it is. Nice post bro. I had no idea that instrument goes back to the Bronze Age.
@@orion3874 I wonder if there could be some relationship with Thomas asking me to use ascending bassoon for certain melodies in the arrangements we've done. I always got the feeling these particular lines might mark something significant, whether it was a timestamp in the music or perhaps a dyadic combination having coded meaning, or something else unknown to me. I understand music very well, but not puzzles or codes. Did you see where I marked a specific area in the previous Cicada Basement Tapes release with graphics to point out that passage was some kind of a code? My ear tells me when it's a code, but not what it means.
@@orion3874 Merci, did you find your healing angel in the shire? Scottish bag pipes have an interesting history as well. Lots of M. Y. Stery going on bag pipes with clan kilts distinct tartan pattern, woven into the fabric of the kilt, representing a unique identity and heritage.
@@ZombieSkullCracker How kind of you to remember! I believe there are angels all about us, although mainly unseen with physical eyes. Heavenly messengers, and messages, abound, if we open our hearts and become receptive. I truly believe the right music helps that happen. Well, these are some interesting updates and discussion. But you guys are not the first ones to recognize the Duduk in 761. But wait, there's more ! On the IRCs, Thomas was pointing out that Tool's song Lateralus" is misspelled on the CD case as "Lateralis. Then he pointed out some Bach 1033 song as not being by Bach. I still think Thomas and Michael did the music and more shit too, but Iona was the Mistress of. the Cicada night, with all the witchy vibes. Tool recorded Lateralus in North Hollywood. Any ties to Thomas in North Hollywood in the 90s?
These days, anyone with a laptop and a mic can make pro-level tracks in their kitchen. But this stuff is from 2014-2016.I am assuming you have digital records on the material you and Michael did?
That is false. Having technology does not give someone the creativity and musical sensibility that one hears in these wonderful works. You aren't very musically gifted, are you. If you can't tell the difference.
They are entitled to their privacy. After all, isn't privacy one of Cicada's three pillars? They will release what they want to release, when they want to release it, for reasons that nobody but them needs to understand at this time. I am sure many will be delighted when that eventually happens!
