Congratulations Garrett. Stiffen the compression and rebound on your rear shocks. It's a little too soft and you're bouncing on launch, and that's why you're spinning. Also raise your ride height a turn or two. It will promote better weight transfer, let the IRS keep the tires flatter when the rear compresses on launch, and you'll get a better contact patch.

i was thinking just stiffen the rebound to keep the car squatted down and eliminate the bounce back by having it decompress slower.
Frank, he's blowing through the shock during compression. A stiffer shock will shove the tire into track harder and give more traction. Once you hook it's a self compounding effect, and it stays hooked. He can probably go 100% throttle and maybe even add some boost back in.

You’re probably aware but a little stiffer spring and a hair of positive camber on you rear end would be beneficial for you. If you watch the car launch it squats like a crossfiter. And your tires are wearing in the inside so you’re not using the whole tire to put the power down. Maybe why you’re spinning in first. I just wanna see Leroy rip into the 7’s, much love brother. 🍻

yep thats the problem with IRS, the springs are probably pretty close to right because squat is good for weight transfer to throw all the weight onto the back wheels if you have the shocks rebound setup to hold it there, but with IRS camber is going to transition from to negative to positive no matter how well you set it up, although in his case he does need some more positive camber because it better for the tire to be flat at launch and overly positive in the top end.
I'm dealing with the same shit with my E63. Chewing the inside edge. I never looked, but I wonder if K-mac makes a set of bushings for his rear?
That said perhaps an alignment and or just some stiffer bushings would help.

you can lower offset rims (ie...0 offset) and run as wide as he wants!!
You should NEVER run spacers on a high power drag car!! Or any car for that matter. Just get rims that fit correctly!! Simple.
Then you get into tracking issues with pizza cutters on front. Theres a reason why when people use wrinkle wall slicks they use a narrower rear end.
This car works very well for stock type suspension and being a manual. You don't want this car to dead hook anyway. Bigger tires isn't always the answer. Testing and power management is the answer. I said it long ago and I'll say it again. 7s the way he wants to do it doesn't come easy. It's going to take reading lots of data and then applying that data. Doesn't just happen. Spacers are also not smart making this kind of power. Good way to snap wheel studs. Bigger tires will add lots of stress to the rear end of that car that's not needed. Doesn't need bigger tires. If there running low 7's on a 235 DR (26×8.5 about) tires aren't the problem. He should get there, but it's going to take hard work. If it was as simple as just putting bigger tires on and running 7s they would have done it already.
X235 cars are ringing way faster than 7s
Mikel Bentley your thinking of 275DR (28×10) and yes there are in the 6's They been in the low 6's and 3.90's in the 1/8. MX235 is the other class which comes out to be about a 26×8.5 DR. The fastest they been on the 235DR is 4.50's in the 1/8. Which is low 7's in the 1/4 like 7.20-30's. Anyway you look at it, it's freaking fast on that small of a tire.

I actually think they’re reluctant to put more boost on the higher gears. Imagine suddenly spinning tyres in third gear. Not much margin for error and that error could be catastrophic. Larger tyres then more boost, I say. Jeremy and cleetus aren’t stupid. Those 7’s ARE coming, it’s not a matter of if, but when.

You could go off of rpm/gearing/tire to calculate it as well since he isn't typically spinning at 60mph
