They have given this type of wheels for Indian market due to bad roads, they haven’t given choice for better wheels
These tyres will be good for indian roads
Those wheels and tyres are tubeless, earlier it was RFT and cause of that it was a bit stiff. Now you get more comfortable drive
Thank god they put a huge '5' on the C pillar. Just in case anyone mistook it for a Hyundai.

The outgoing 5 series and 6 series give you the feeling this car is a Meme 😂
BMW usually makes cars which are meant to have more aggressive stance compared to the subtleness of the Mercs. But this time i guess the tables might have turned.

Its heart breaking to see the sacrifice 6GT had to make to make space for the new 5. that machine has much more class and old school macho feel to it. I wish it wasn't the case. Thanks for the review @autocarindia1
True. Will be very honest with you, the 640d xDrive(available internationally) was my dream car, was quite disappointed that we got the 630d with RWD. Nevertheless, we actually got one.🤭

Absolutely
The side profile, the wheels on this particular car everything looked really said. For me the previous gen 530d M sport is a fantastic looking sedan.
Those who are complaining about the wheels, agreed they don't look as good as other wheels, but these setup will be so so comfortable on Indian roads.
both BMW & Mercedes Benz should offer the standard wheelbase variants of the E-Class & 5-Series . . . that'll sell parallely to the LWB variants . . .

The design is quite debatable, but with long wheelbase specially when the main focus is on the rear seat, some luxuries like rear sun blinds should have been provided, considering the rising heat and the price it will be offered at. But most definitely it will be a fun to drive, hope they tune the B48 better in this.
The LWB are good for chauffer driven vehicles
But i feel they should offer the nwb too
The lenght is gonna put off many potential buyers
2:24 18inch wheels are a positive. Look at those thick pirelli tyres. Perfect to soak those potholes. 19inch wheels will have low profile tyres which are a disaster for our roads

530LI, 2ltr engine with 258 hp and 12hp approx from the 48kw watt motor. And it will be only available in PETROL

No match for the E class. Even Audi and Volvo beats it in design.
Usually, when cars get a longer wheelbase they also improve in looks.
Not so here.
I have zero problems with the new 5's grille or fascia (I think those complaining are being overdramatic or just want to go back to the horrible 1950's) but in terms of the proportions of the rest of the body I think I prefer the SWB to the LWB.
The rear cabin here was stretched just a little too much and neither the window trim, the awkwardly angular roof nor the inelegant tumble home help.
PS. I agree the 18s are too small for this car.
Why these wheels look strange?
Should've launched the chinese lwb here in India , without that rear roof infotainment screen I don't think anyone would prefer it over the merc e lwb
Rear seat focused LWB car with no sunshades for a country like India! Even 15 lakh cars have them now. Good enough to cut down the sales by an half.
They launched the same product as in other international markets, but with key features removed… bigger wheels, sun blinds, tv screen only for China 🤷🏻
Atlast perfect family car for 5 in luxury segment instead wasting back seat for 2 people
BMW has made this as neither here nor there car. Vegan leather, no sun shades, 18” wheels, no recline. Either go for driving pleasure or go all the way for the back seat.

No adaptive cruise control .
No rear seat adjustments.
No window curtains, not even manual ones.
Very silly misses to say the least.
I believe Landrover cars are the best in both looks and performance. I was the owner of 5 series for 7 years and now I own a Rangerover. I am still a fan of Bmw but I think it's moving away from its core USP while RANGEROVER is a different beast all together. Be it looks or performance Rangerover is just a different machine.
i will never choose BMW if i have to buy a luxury or good looking expensive car
Not at all i to the design language BMW is going for. The headlights, the tail lamps, too boxy, 7Series still felt like an attempt to touch Rolls Royce but this one is socially awkward at best.
And how cant you kill something as handsome as the 6 GT with something like this.
This car is a Great Khali in the world of Understakers 😂 I would build a 100 analogies on why not this car.

Those wheels have been designed according to Indian road conditions
They have killed DRL, from squircle (Square+Circle) to semi circle to quarter circle, in 3 series it is nearly vanished. They should have given choice for R 19 as well the way they provide in Europe
Those tyres are engineered as if the makers had to showcase the car, just the next day
Overall,a bit disappointed with this generation...somehow doesnt feel as lavish as the e class

Never though I'd say this but here I am. The 5 has lost it's charm.
Disappointed with the generic design.
The side and the rear profile is flat and boring as hell!
BMW needs to add some flair.
Interiors are looking good though the Merc feels more sumptuous.
6 gt was definitely a better option. Bad luck BMW has discontinued the model.

Not ugly per se, but it's quite obviously a design downgrade from the G30. Not digging this departure from the quintessential BMW. But of course it is going to sell like hot cakes nevertheless
Take the legendary g30 design and mess it up, you get g60. voila!

The car really looks good when you see it in reality, I agree it looks ugly in video but in real it is good and huge
BMW is going away from ultimate driving machine focus. Nothing related to engine, transmission and suspension is mentioned in the video. Tyre size is disappointing.
Can easily skip this for the new E class🙏🏻✌️
