A Skim Boarding tip for Clancy is drag your fingers in the sand to do 360°s and to run with the board in front of your chest towards the water when the wave is going back out and launch the board on the ground with a running pace and jump on the board and carry inertia and bend your knees.
The water needs to be thin so the board doesn't sink and get stuck in the sand.

Jekyll is about four hours from my house we stayed over there several times! We love it I hope you get to go to Saint Simons Island you’ll love that also! Nice beaches on Jekyll go to the south end of the island and get lots of shells in the mornings, early!! Sand dollars Leave them out in the sun for a couple of days to bleach out and then take them and drop them and some Clorox and water solution put them back out and they will turn on White and be beautiful. And let them dry. Saint Simons has some big ones out in the water.

He’s only gone on two trips with us lately and no. That’s a while extra plane ticket. 😳 We had fun as a family though!
I knew a couple of young lady’s that were going to tour a college and needed a rental. They rented one of the uhaul pickups for a lot less money than any rental car.

I guess you couldn’t have rented a uhaul van? I saw them sitting there and I’m sure there’s a reason. Old was, too funny! Too bad you couldn’t pick up something n carry it home to get your haul paid for. Lol
They wouldn’t rent the regular trucks or vans one way.

I've never flown anywhere my family drove from Bakersfield ca to cape Canaveral Florida to take a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas then drove to other places while we were out that way to visit family in Alabama Louisiana Arkansas Mississippi ect so my mom refused to fly she was terrified n that was when I was like 12 now im 47 an since then I've co drove with my husband who was a truck driver an I've taken amtrack from Los Angeles to Arizona to c my in laws an idk what takes so long to get the luggage everytime it seems so if someone understands y it takes so long plz lmk I really would love to kno
I rented a pickup truck to Maryland and I could have rented it one way, only it was cheaper to return it. So I drove my daughter to md and dropped off her and her things because she was moving in with her sisters.
I live about 2 hours from there and that's the nastiest water. But over all a nice place to visit

I lived on cumberland island, the next island down from Jekyll. The water is not aways the same. Now, the Atlantic is not crystal clear like parts of the gulf side. However. You have so many rivers and marsh… it’s brackish. They run into the oceans on the north and south ends of those small islands. So, things stsy stirred up more on those islands. There’s also very extreme tides, compared to other places. That sucks that water out of those rivers and into ocean and around island. Hard to explain, but it’s just a fact. Doesn’t mean it’s not clear when you go out farther or in other areas where you don’t have as much movement from inter coastal and rivers and marches. Plus certain times of year, storms stir things up. The Gulf Stream is not far off shore there and goi get many things, depending on time of year. Sargasso seaweed, hotshot crabs, Sand dollars, I mean the beaches will be full of something for a while and then it’s gone.
It’s not nasty just not like PC, it’s the Atlantic Ocean. Not the beautiful Gulf beaches. 😊

Nope we enjoy the convenience of Waco. Less than an hour from our house. No parking fees and one terminal. Super easy parking and checkin.

Thanks for your comment Andre! We banter and use sarcasm 24/7 in our family. Our kids are absolutely respectful to us and everyone they encounter. In fact, we often hear compliments about them. They know when it is ok to do it with us and when it’s not. Sorry it’s not your cup of tea! We are having fun! And keep in mind, he’s almost 15. This isn’t a tv show. This is REALITY. He’s a teen boy. They arent happy all the time 🤦🏻♀️
