THANKS FOR WATCHING!
I agree with you when I mow my grass. I put the bag on and I take my grass clippings and actually give it to my chickens because their run is all dirt. They have eaten every blade of grass in there so every time I mow my grass I give them the clippings because they can find bugs in there. They can eat some of the fresh grass clippings, and it helps the soil
We give our clippings to the chickens too. They get so excited when they see my husband coming out on the mower.
I let my clipping gs dry completely and store in my barn loft and give to the chickens s all winter they love the dried grass in the winter
We do the same they love it
Cows look good, mower works good, and great country life. All is good.
❤Ĺove that you are utilizing your mower for feeding you cows! That new calf really is a Dandy!
Danny how about naming your little calf Toro after the lawn mower? Peace and blessings.
Toro = Bull in Spanish❤
@@lotus.... Yeah and they both eat grass! 👍🙏😇
Good morning y’all! Everything is beautiful at Pecan Grove! I love the name Dandy/Little Dan for the calf. ♥️🐃🌾🌞
Glad that this will be a great addition to your homestead.
Loving how you make use of something that so many people look at as waste.
Old Dan and Little Ann are from Where the Red Fern Grows. I loved that movie as a child, along with The Yearling, Old Yeller, Savage Sam, Song of the South, and Black Beauty, as well as many more classics. I have copies of them now, as an adult, and I have introduced my niece and nephew to them. I wanted them to understand, from a very young age, that life can be wonderful, but bad things happen, and we just have to keep going. Can't wait until I can take them hunting. Have already introduced them to foraging.
Ö L.P
I showed my husband the first video you had on this mower, he was very interested and bought one, he really likes it. We live in Georgia. The best Zero turn we have had 😊
That is awesome!
Good morning guys
Love your videos. Why not call the new calf "Jim dandy"
Oh this is so cute! Candy and Mr Jim Dandy!
YES YES YES !!! I never understood why more people don't do this ! The cows and other livestock LOVE it ! Thank you for sharing !
Dandy is a great name for the little guy. I thought Max might be good since he is a big guy but I really like Dandy!
I have a zero turn mower with a bagger. I bought the bagger simply to collect the clippings first my composting. My chickens keep it turned until it’s broken down and mixed with the soil and ready to use in my garden. I’ve used this method for years with excellent results. Love it. No need to ruin my back turning my compost materials.
That's a cool mower. I just put a new air filter and spark plug in mine. Running good now. Y'all have a blessed day. ✝️💖
My 2011 Craftsman riding mower with 4 baggers still running great. Grass does get stuck occasionally but only if the grass is real damp or wet. I compost my clippings but it does put more weeds into the garden I think as I don’t use any weed killers in my yard. Love the name Dandy/ Dan too! Enjoy your day!
Enjoy watching the cows . Nice mower. Everything looks great at Pecan Grove. Blessings to you both
Good evening Danny and Wanda. Cows love the grass very nutrients. Candy what a beautiful baby boy.
Good afternoon Mr. Danny and Ms. Wanda. Mr. Danny y'all need to write a book on raising cattle. We jokingly call ya the cow whisperer. That definitely looks like a nice mower. The suspension seat had me sold. Our property is so bumpy by the time i am done feel like I just got off a bucking bronco. Great idea to feed the grass to the cows. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day.
Good morning, Your cows are precious ❤ They are almost like giant dogs they are so friendly. God has really blessed you guy's 🙌
Glad to see you using the Toro. Some of that grass was over 3 feet tall. LOL. The mower did a great job! I knew the catcher had to be full at the 10 min mark. Even the tube was full. I bet the blades need sharpening. That is some tough grass to cut. Try running the engine at full throttle. That will give it the fastest blade tip speed and the most amount of air flow. Thank you for the good review of the Toro.
I could watch y'all all day!
That new calf sure is a cutie. So sweet and docile already.
Good morning 😊
Mr. Danny Ms Wanda and all you're beautiful animals
So peaceful watchin everybody . . . . .love it! Xo
Thanks y'all
Danny, I've run Dexter x Jersey for years and I'll tell you one thing I've noticed using a Dexter x Jersey bull. The Jersey influence as far as milk ability and udder improvement on the heifers by him is remarkable. I totally understand and respect wanting purebred Dexter breeders, but worst case, at least for a generation, a little Jersey hasn't hurt me a bit. Udder size/shape much improved in the heifers as did both quantity (by 3rd calving) and quality of milk. The meat is also very, very tasty. You kept back a dang good little herd. ❤
Good morning! If I had a bigger place that mower would be my choice! The place and cattle look great! Love the new calf!!❤
Your new mower is so large it looks like a jeep truck. And with the back up, it reminds me of a fog machine!
That calf is a beautiful blessing he sure is cute!
A lot of people don't realize that you can also use it to create biogas that you can run a generator off of
If my budget allowed I would have one in my yard today. On social security I just can’t go in debt to get one. So it will be some time before I can think l about it. My mower way too small for what I have to cut. But so much fun to watch Danny cut with it.
Hi Danny and Wanda, like the name for bull calf, that Toronshoots out the grass, better then my John Deere. When we had cows would save grass clippings and take out to the cows, ate it like candy. Thanks for sharing
Isn’t he just the cutest little thing there’s nothing like a baby calf it looks nice and healthy. You guys do such a good job at raising animals. I so wish I could have a cow but I live too close to the city. Luckily, I’m outside the city limit, so I do have chickens in a garden, love watching your videos thank you for what you do
Dont forget to pet the Mama! She did all the hard work!
got to dump the bag more often.. it takes 2 minutes fill it up.. I catch all my clippings... It's a good workout
Multitask lawn mower. Nice information on the Toro.
So true about the craftsman bagger tube clogging up. Right at the elbow joint where the two pieces of tube join together. I don't have a bagger for the John Deere yet so I don't know about it. I get such a kick out of watching your cows.
When bought our place 6 yrs ago. I had big plans on making my own compost. Well, having an acre front yard, it doesn't take long to have way too much green & not enough brown so we started feeding it to the livestock & sometimes it overwhelms them too. 😅
Thinking bout getting one to replace my 2454 Husky. That chute vortex is strong!! Mr. Danny is tall and looks comfortable on the Timecutter. I was worried that it I would not fit in it. I'm 6'6 tall, so I'll have to visit the local dealer and sit in one. Love the farm and the beautiful cows. Thanks so much for posting the Toro videos which was much informative.
I’ve composted my clippings for a few years now since I stopped putting it down as a moisture retention in my garden. It really adds the nitrogen.
So many uses for those clippings!
Good morning Danny and Wanda. I love the way you just walk around and praise your animals. Did you ever pick a name for the new one? God bless you both.
My husband and I have started thinking about a retirement place, yours is beautiful. We’re currently in NWFL, the heat and humidity isn’t for us so we’re looking north. Your current endeavor is such an encouragement for those our age.
Howdy Danny and Wanda.
Candy's calf is doing so well and walking around so good. He seems to really like being touched too.
He's one big boy.
Hadassah wants to drive around lol
The vortex on that Toro is pretty darn good but the
hard part is holding up the cover on the bins in back.
Wow that's a lot of grass in there for the cows.
It's good your using that grass for the cows and that's a lot of grass
in just what you mowed so far. I agree no wasting it!
Candy isn't interested in coming over there for grass.
She wants her treat. And says too darn hot to head over there lol
Awe she decided to head over and get a little.
I like Dandy/Dan
Glad you shared about the Toro. Sure seems like a game changer and great for not only cutting grass
but for grass for the cows too.
Wow, that thing has power!
Is it my eyes or does your mower leave a lot of uncut grass? I use a 1025 r John Deere with 60 " cut and doesn't leave uncut even if 2' tall ..
This grass is old and tough really should have been done with a bush hog. Plus I was going fast.
I love watching the cows, Most of all the baby bull he is a sweet Danny Boy lol. Thank you Wanda for all your help there would not be a video without you. God bless you both.
Danny, what did you say could cause a fire in this weather? It had to do with the grass, I think. My video cut out your sentence. Btw, I love those cows. So beautiful and healthy!
Hi Danny and Wanda, love your new place. I was wondering if the new Toro has a easy area for belt replacement and repair. We have a old craftsman lawn tractor and belt replacement is real pain.
Yes it does
@@pecangrovems thank you.
Looks like the mower gets super close to the fence line so no weed whacking needed!
The new calf is cute! Great video & love using the grass clippings to feed the cows!
Excellent idea!! Like I said. This is a "thinking Man". They're rare.. my opinion 😊
🙇♀️
Toro Dan...another reason to call the calf lil Dan :)
The cows looking good ❤
That mower is an asset for your property & cows 😊
I was always asked (& ridiculed by a couple people) when I saved usable things from the homestead that I'd repurpose. Grass clippings was a big thing. I'm saving clippings (grass, clover/alfalfa mix) for critters & compost. (my farm - my rules). 😊
I should've got the bagger when I got my mower but use the trailer alot. I'd use for compost. Just have the push mower for the tight spots to catch some grass.
I wonder if I can get one delivered to SW Mo? I need a Speed Queen washer and dryer set as well. 😁
Good morning. It's always a great way to end my mornings watching your videos. God Bless
Isn’t he just the cutest little thing there’s nothing like a baby calf it looks nice and healthy. You guys do such a good job at raising animals. I so wish I could have a cow but I live too close to the city. Luckily, I’m outside the city limit, so I do have chickens in a garden, love watching your videos thank you for what you do I love the Toro lawnmower. I don’t have a riding lawnmower. I wish I did, but I have a push lawnmower and it is the best lawnmower ever.
Hadassah is looking for her photo op! ❤ Shalom!
Impressive mower and catcher
Cow wanted it straight from the salad shooter !
Good idea guys, farmers always have the best methods by necessity .
Great video God bless
🦋🇺🇸👋Good Morning Mr Danny & Miss Wanda. He’s so precious 😊😊🤗🥰. He’s doing great. Beautiful day here in Central Pa. You all are so awesome. Thank you for sharing your life with us. God Bless
We give our grass clippings to our chickens every day or two because we can’t let them free range.
I love a woven wire fence. You guys have it looking beautiful.
Were steady fencing more property got some new things coming. It's just so hot here it's slowing us down.
A little “bag relief” for Candy !! Love y’all !! Dang, it’s hot !!
the mower sure is missing a lot, does it do the same thing with the grass catcher off and with short (regular) grass?
It's because the grass is so deep and thick plus I was going to fast.
Good morning everyone😊🌄Wish we lived closer to y'all, would love to buy a bull like Lil' Dandy🥰. He will make a fantastic sire for someone's herd🐂❤ God watch over and bless all y'all😊
I love that movie (Old yeller)
As much as I would like to have that new easy ride, I have to wear out this z 4200 first. But they could not give me the new one unless it came with arm rest. Or I would have to buy them myself again.
How do you keep your fence lines so clean and weed free?
Cows and a mower.
I like Dandy, and call him Little Dan! That is perfect
For yrs had a mulching mower. Truthfully never saw benefit other than a browning haze on top of lawn. They sold it like it was Gold, lol. * And how much less wd life be if you cdn't be out luvin' on those sweet cows. Just had to come over & supervise w/ the new toy (for the treats). -- xxoo 💌🍒
I was taught to wait til the dew dried to mow the grass but was told to mow Bahia grass while the dew was still on it because it would mow better , but i bet wet grass would plug that grass catcher up…
Candy done laid junior down
I rake up my grass that don’t have seeds in it and put it on my compost pile and mow toward my chicken pen
Good morning.
I'm thinking about getting goats. Does anyone know if you can feed goats naturally like this?
I don’t know about other goats, but mine will eat mown grass only if there is nothing for them to “pull”. My husband cuts branches in the winter so they can pull the leaves off. I’m NE Florida so leaves stay on the trees most of the year. They still get feed and hay. I have 3 Nigerian dwarfs. Our chickens love the grass.
🦋 I’m so happy you have a new zero turn. I hope it is saving your back. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Little Dan. Good name.
NAME THAT CALF ANDY!
Have you ever wanted to look up in a cow's nose? Lol, good job Hadasseh!
❤
I would name the new calf Chester...❤
Dandy, name for the baby; they are all so beautiful bovines
Mello cows very nice.
🥰🥰🥰
Midnight or Onyx
Tie Down straps are worth their weight in gold, LOL Drive next to the fence and let it shoot over to the cows!?!
❤🐄
🦋🥰🥰❤️I love Dan. Good name
Never understood people throwing their grass out. I don't have bear enough grass clippings. My neighbor behind me throws his grass iver the fence for me earlier in the season. A farmer cuts his lawn for the grass for his cows later in the season(haven't seen grass iver the fence fir several weeks now). In the fall the keaves come over the fence. Don't have enough if thise either. Between my son-in-law, neighbor and my trees and picking up keaves ithers are throwing out, I almost have enough of thise
I wish I could feed that to my rabbits, but I was told rabbits can't eat fresh mowed grass. Is that true?
I feed my rabbits mowed grass every week and every scrap out of the garden. If you have the ability to feed them the mowed grass, I can't imagine it would hurt them. I have had rabbits for about 6 years as an adult and we raised them as kids. Hope this info helps! Also, my bunnies are on my page if you want to see them!
@@robynearl Thank you so much. I've wondered if it was true. I didn't want to hurt my rabbits, so I've never tried. I have a manual push mower and was told that is ok to use, just not the gas powered mower clippings. But if your rabbits are still hopping, then I suppose mine will too.
They probably wouldn’t do well on a diet of it, but a variety of foods and treats in moderation would mimic what is available in the wild. Danny has videos of his rabbits.
It's fine to feed them along with other things.
@@pecangrovems Thanks so much Pecan Grove.
Amateur here~ why the harness on two cows only?
Makes them easier to handle.
👍💪❤️🙏
Don't give your cows the grass clipping with all that sand. They can get sand colic😢
Been doing it for over forty years never had a problem.
🇺🇸❤🙏
Toro junk. They used to be good but they’re just like all of the rest like John Deere, craftsman, cub cadet. Overpriced Chinese junk! They won’t last where I live.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
The company told me they were American made in Bloomington Minnesota.
@@pecangrovems hope you have good luck with yours. My sister had a toro similar to yours and the sandy soil ate it up in about three years. She kept the few grease able bearings greased frequently. I’ve had good luck with my Bad Boy mower. It’s a heavy built beast. The sandy soil is really abrasive on the blades. I have to replace them at least twice a season sometimes three times. Lubrication is the key to making things last especially in sandy soil.
@@Hotrodford Yeah sand is really bad on blades. I do buy the heavy duty blades for mine. They're way more expensive than the regular ones but worth it.
