Timothy Green brought me here in search of this incredible song. Vocals, lyrics, chord progressions. So many of us play by ear, and are moved by meaningful music. On my list to learn, and perform. Thankful it’s in my vocal range. A real gem.

Anyone know the chord shape that isnt the A or the D? Like with "waiting to be *HERE* found"

Sounds like it's the minor 6 of the key. Song is in A, so you'd be using an F#m. Check 3:20 to confirm. Multiple fretting/fingering shapes/choices. I would either do the barre shape (barre Fret 2 then use ring and pinky to make an Em shape) or (preferably) use the open shape. Basically, make an Em with ring and pinky on fret 4, then fret the G string on fret 2. B and High e string stay open, don't strike the low E. I think the latter shape is the voicing he uses.

@@mathewhutchins2539 yes, and in the F#m, i also use my thumb to cover the 6th string. And if your strumming is hard enough and on point, you can play it without even noticing the the 1st string xD
Had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Glen and one of the many things he told me was that like me, he also learned guitar "by ear" and by himself, and often doesn't use the "correct" chords, but instead variations. Basically he plays the guitar the way the sound fits better to him. For example, i never play an F chord using the bar... hate it, idk, it doesn't sound right to me, instead i use the thumb the way i told you before, and a variation with the other fingers..

@@joaocma8411 yeah I never use the full barre F. I prefer Fmaj7 shape.
But you are right that using an Asus2 shape and wrapping the thumb over to hit the F# on feet 2 also works as a substitute for F#m. I use it myself
