      I just got an amazing bushy purple one..(am in Blr)..the spot gets sun from early morning until 2pm...is it normal for the leaves to droop?.. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏🏽

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Please check if the soil becomes dry much sooner..Normally leaves don't droop even with full sun. Look like, it's the lack of water. You can be sure that it's lack of water when they come back to normal after watering or looks fine in the morning (before direct sunlight. Good luck!

      I think that is the issue.... should I put it in a larger pot?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure you can. But if it's already blooming, repotting at this time won't be a good idea (It might get repotting shock). You can simply fill an other pot (half) with soil and keep the Chrysanthemum pot on top of it. That way, it would be getting the moisture from the bottom soil.

      As flowering time is almost about to start, better to buy plants instead of seeds. You would get them in any nearby nursery as it's the season. Good luck and thank you so much for your feedback :-)

    When is the right time or month to cut or prune a mums

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on blooming periods..for example, in my place they usually start to bloom from around Dec onwards. So, if we can prune them at the end of flowering season and this is usually the end of Feb to March mid. Some plants produce new buds again once after deadheading or pruning.
      In case you are referring to pinching (removing the new growths on a new plant to get more branches), then it is better to pinch within 25-30 days after transplanting seedlings. Usually, pinching just 2-3 times or even one time is sufficient. I hope, I have answered to your query, thank you!

      It's actually end of the season for Chrysanthemum and they would stop flowering. I posted this video when it was right time for Chrysanthemum. Anyway..nothing to be worried. You can still keep the plant for the next year.
      Leaves are droopy - This shouldn't have happened if you haven't used more amount. Please keep the plant in shade for next few days. Keep under sunlight once you see some improvement. Good luck!
