    The internet magnifies the rare negative behavior. For every fan acting up in the pit there were thousands having a blast. I made it to 4 shows and had an amazing time at each. I hate to see fans who might not go to a top show because they think it will be bad/dangerous. You will have the time of your life. I've honestly never felt safer at a show. Outside of the one ravenous hometown show the rest went really well all things considered.

      @katstorm13 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yep on Reddit there have been many people worried about being in the pit, because the negative stories get repeated over and over.
      When one negative incident gets repeated 10+ times, it makes it seem like the whole pit is full of jerks.

    • @sagesavage8114
      @sagesavage8114 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @katstorm13 this!! "People in the pit are shoving people" Um... have you never been in a pit before? I was in the pit for ICY and I was in a wheelchair at the time. No one got hurt at all and pit rushing is just a part of being in the pit. So many people associate the pit with hard-core shows and assume that everyone is fighting and shoving when in reality, it's pretty tame, and following the artist who's walking around the pit is just... normal. I don't like this overhyping of the negative moments that were genuinely so few and most of them weren't even real issues, but rather just normal pit stuff. You gotta expect to get at least one bruise when you're in the pit, and if you don't want to be lightly shoved, potentially accidentally bruised, or stand for hours, well that's what the lower and upper bowls are for. The 1 person out of 300 who's being mean in the pit doesn't deserve to be highlighted.

    You are 100% correct. I was there in the upper deck, embarrassed FOR the pit. They acted like toddlers, only out for themselves. There was such a lack of respect and discipline and thoughtless actions. So frustrating to watch.

    Hey! I was at the Orlando show where we got both Oldies Station and Slowtown. He did ask the crowd which song we wanted but both ended up getting played! I heard people cheering for both songs, and I personally didn’t hear any booing from OUR crowd. I believe the booing of Oldies Station was at a different show.
    Oldies Station is one of my favorites from Clancy, and it’s a song I personally resonate with. I was so mad to hear that anyone was booing that song! It’s such a special song and did not deserve getting booed.

    Cbus clickie here- as someone who was at night 2 of the cbus clancy show, I want to share my pov of what happened. I sat in section 104, so I was not in the pit, but i saw everything perfectly. The show was amazing. Them recording the shows made the crowd extra crazy. (they recorded all 3 nights). I think a big reason the pit acted so poorly is bc of the routines in the night fiasco. When tyler walked through the pit, it became a wild dog pool. everyone was acting completely feral. In some videos you can see some girls trying to push others away so that they could get as much camera time as possible. thats the risk you take filming something like that, but it was whatever. Im pretty sure they only did this for night 2 and 3. Tyler did not tell anyone he was going to do that which is why it was so crazy. So, by the time trees happened, the pit was riled up. People became agressive and rude to security and tylers orders. When josh was lost in the crowd, we all boo'ed really loud. Im surprised that you couldnt hear it in the video. It was basically a confirmation that they wont use our footage of trees for the live album despite how well they performed. It was one of the best nights of my life, but that pit needed to get their shoot together. We are fans, not animals.

      Yeah, I'm surprised Tyler never gave a warning or had a plan at all for RITN. They're too big of a band now to be doing things that they did 10+ years ago. People are crazy and can't be trusted to behave themselves, unfortunately.

    People east of the Mississippi don't realize how lucky they are. You have massive cities in with 1-2 hours of each other, and most have shows. I'm from Nebraska, and I had to drive 8 hours to St. Louis to see a show. That's pretty much the norm when it comes to concerts, driving 3+ hours and playing for hotels in Denver, Kansas City, Omaha, and St. Louis. Not hating or complaining, just something to think about.

    I went to the St. Louis show, we were up in the Mezzanine and we had a couple fans near us that had NO regard for the people around them, I wanted to record The Cravings to send my partner who I sing it to, and this group ruined the whole experience, I looked back in my videos and you couldnt hear any of the band on any song over this group. Screaming off key, off rhythme, and only had about a 30% accurancy with their lyrics the whole show, louder than the concert audio set up. Multiple people asked them multiple times to try to be a little quieter and they got aggressive. They also screamed non-stop every time the boys would be between songs trying to talk to the audience, it was so sad, cause like it got to the point where Tyler paused a couple times because of them, it was so disrespectful to the band AND the other people that paid to be there and see them. I've been to a few of their concerts and cannot believe the range of disrespect for a band they claim to love.

    It wasn’t just the pit, the whole ADA situation has been horrible, the venues handled it poorly, Tyler and Josh, handled it poorly. I’ve been a fan since 2015, but the fact Tyler acknowledged the ADA situation with a “thanks for all you dealt with” (basically) it’s like, what the hell man..I didn’t deal with ADA trouble but I know a ton of people who did, people got trampled, others were encouraging people to stampede by yelling “run! Run!” And I believe they started yelling it when a group of disabled people were coming in. It’s disgusting, I was extremely disappointed in how the band themselves handled it, at first I thought it was the venues, but later on it sounds very much like the band controlled it. They at least didn’t put a stop to it.
    I had fun at my show (Cleveland) and it was so amazing, but they should be held accountable. The skeleton clique is supposed to be an open and accepting place, that’s always what Tyler strived for, but the whole ADA thing has been horrible. The “ADA safe space” was A TAPE SQUARE ON THE FLOOR, following a lot of this on Twitter has been horrific to see. Kars got laughed at for being in a wheelchair, the ableism in the clique is horrendous and needs to be called out

It didn’t ruin the show obviously and I’m glad he took the time to make sure they were okay but like you’re saying it’s frustrating people are acting like that!

    The only time I was in the pit for a TØP show was for the icy tour! I was close to Josh when he did the Saturday drum solo and I was one of the people to catch his drumstick! Everyone else let go of the stick except me and this one other person. They begged me for the stick, so I decided to let them have it and enjoy the rest of the show as opposed to starting a fight! Josh inspired me to be a drummer and I’ve covered a few TOP songs on my channel, so it was not an easy move to make. But they were still kind enough to take my photo with the drumstick after the show was over ❤

    I'm sorry that was your experience. The footage from N3 at Columbus looked wild. But I have to say, we all had an excellent night in Chicago on Night 2. We were in the Pit and everyone was so nice. They were excited, we all sang to each other as well as to the stages. We gave each other room. Also, during Trees, the circle cooperated well and didn't rush Tyler or Josh when it was time to fill it back in. Just speaking from that experience. It was one of the best shows I have been to in my life! Not every show is going to be seamless, for sure. But I hope people are not deterred from going to other 21 Pilots concerts.
    Also, I'm 33 now - I would say us Millennials can still handle the pit. I could definitely tell that we had a mix of young and old in our Pit in Chicago, but everyone brought good energy. And thankfully, we were all safe and cooperated with each other. Loved that group of people. My friends and I were fortunate to have really excellent fans there :D

    I went to both Denver shows. N1 I was in the nosebleeds and n2 I was on barricade. At least from my perspective everything went well. I think some people tried to jump the gun on going into the trees circle. Other than that I think we did pretty good. Yeah for n2 people were a bit bummed that slowtown wasn't played, but were pumped up that oldies was. Toward the middle and end of tour the pit just got chaotic. Now we know that it wasnt the boys choice to add slowtown. it was on the setlist for every show. Shap said that it was ultimately his decision and he would either play it or skip it.

I don’t understand even grabbing Tyler and Josh. Like imagine thinking just because people are famous that you have a right to put your hands on them? Wild dude. A really old fan? Me and my bestie are old enough to be your mum and we are about to travel 3000miles to see them… drive, fly, drive, drive, fly, drive, drive, fly, drive, drive, train, drive… you can do this! Age plays no factor in seeing the boys - but I do understand the efforts involved in making a big solo trip, especially with a doggo to consider 😁 I agree with some of the crowd’s behavior… NOT good. Also, I am NOT a fan of the chanting of “here we, here we, here we f*****n go” for Trees… as Tyler has talked about his lack of liking swearing, I don’t think this is really appropriate. Trench tour pit experience was hectic… me and my daughter had bruises, ripped clothes, and a broken phone from the crowd…crazyyyy!!!! Things have to improve so all of us can be more considerate 😊

      @murndak 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about that chant. It really bothered me and honestly put a damper on the experience. It's a matter of respect. Tyler has never used that language in any song or interview for that matter. So what makes people think he would appreciate that? Especially since it's a song special enough to him that he has closed every show with it for over ten years. It feels as though something sacred has been desecrated and I think highlights how the fanbase in general is trending toward toxicity. I was in the pit in Nashville and was overall still a great show but I had been really looking forward to experiencing Trees in the pit with my girls. (I'm a 44 year old Mom ) That chant ruined the vibe of the song for us.

It made me ashamed to be apart of this community. I asked other fans if they’ve experienced similar situations like this at one of their concerts/in general and I was slammed for it… It really ruined my night and made me scared of ever going into GA at a concert again. I love Twenty One Pilots and have been looking forward to this concert for the entire year and have been patiently waiting for another Australia tour from the boys for the last 6 years. I will never do GA again, although I thoroughly enjoyed the show and am trying to focus on the positives it’s very hard to stay positive. I heard about some negative pit experiences but hadn’t seen that video where Josh wasn’t even on his platform yet… good lord, people need to practice PATIENCE.
    Thankfully, the pit at my show (Nashville) was genuinely really respectful for the most part and I was super happy with how Trees went down. It was an amazing experience for me.
    My only negative moment with the pit at that show was right after Balu Brigada left the stage when a few taller people unintentionally moved in front of me which blocked like 90% of my view, and I told one of the friends I was with “I can’t see anything,” and THE FATHER of one of the tall people directly blocking my view overheard me and very snarkily said “oh pLEASE, you can see.” 😐
    But overall, really not too bad at all for a big show in the pit. And it really wasn’t that far into the show when the crowd organically moved to where I could see better, so I really can’t complain!

    I originally had a pit ticket for the Indy show, but after seeing the first few nights I decided against it. I am 40yo and disabled. The past tours I have been able to safely stay at the back of pit. The clique was doing WAY too much this tour. I was there for Columbus night 1 and 3, both in the lower bowl. I think the music video idea was a really bad idea. When he has done this before he explained to the crowd EXACTLY what to do, but to just start walking randomly through the crowd is pretty dangerous. I was also at the Indy show in the nosebleeds where they started late and had to cut a song. The energy at that show was pretty low and I blame ticketmaster. I think it's a bit absurd to call it a disaster when there was a total of maybe 5 bad moments in only a fraction of the tour. Tyler has enough trust in us as his fans to literally stand on top of us. If it was a big enough problem to be a *real* problem, I'm certain Tyler would have stopped doing some things, and likely would have said something. The bulk of us are longtime fans and have respect and manners. Some of the newer fans being overzealous isn't a good enough reason to justify it as a "disaster". This overhypes the negative parts immensely and that's just sad, especially as a TØP fan. The shows, by majority this far, have gone well. There's no reason to spread what's essentially misinformation.
    In the words of our favorite frontman, "Just don't believe the hype", y'all. That's all this video is, negative hype.

    • @HannahBright
      @HannahBright  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I’m not spreading misinformation, I’m talking about things that actually happened on tour and commenting on how the behavior at concerts (especially in the pit) has gotten out of hand. And it’s not just at TOP shows. Other artists have people throwing things on stage and hitting the artist, getting past security and getting on stage (I saw a video that this happened to the Weekend recently), and people pushing and injuring others at concerts. Maybe the title is too click-baity, but the point of this video was to bring awareness to the insane behavior that people think it’s okay to do at shows now.

    • @HannahBright
      @HannahBright  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I literally never said that bad things happened at EVERY show tho? I’m just saying that people be acting crazy at concerts, specifically TOP shows, but I also did say that this happens at other artists shows as well and we need to get it together to make concerts a safe place for every one. And I DID also talk about the positive and nice moments that happened on this tour with the Navigating signs and Tyler getting emotional when he mentioned Rosie. I still love this band and I’ve seen them on previous tours, but I personally feel like fan behavior at shows is getting worse, and it’s worse for other artists’ shows as well. Again, sorry for the click baity title, but you missed the point of the video.

    It's very hard to control the heathens. They follow the voice of their true master. They needed to be exposed for who they are.
    Psalm 69:14-15: "Rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters. Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the PIT close its mouth over me".
    Lamentations 3:55. I called on your name, Lord,
    from the depths of the PIT.
    There is more going on here than meets the eye. TOP knows exactly what they're doing.
