Muchas gracias Miguel! Maravillosa la misa en si bemol de nuestro amado J. S. Bach. Hoy, una lluvia de catarata sonora el patio con estruendo. Los gorriones, los estorninos y los mirlos han enmudecido y las formas coloridas de los lirios, alegrías y glicinias tiemblan desvanecidas de su goteo incesante. Los compases de Bach se abren hueco entre ella y me cuentan lo sagrado del ser humano. Hay mucho recogimiento. Ojalá, tanto que nos enseña Bach con su música, pudiéramos traducirlo en nuestros actos. No como enormes artistas como lo fue él, pero sí al menos, para evitar que nunca más muera un ser humano en manos de otro. Será esto alguna vez posible? Podemos sumar todos nuestros enormes deseos para que llegue pronto ese día. Un fuerte abrazo y hasta mañana🌹🎶🌹

This is Music Hiistory! It´s he first - and still the only existing - record of Bach´s B-Minor Mass with alto solos sung by boys and not by women or countertenors. as in all other recordings. - So this is exactly as Bach himself performed it in 1733, which makes it unique!
One further remarkable feature here is how absolutely phenomenal the "Agnus Dei" aria is sung by the 14 yo. Maximilian Fraas. - Don´t miss it! - The Intro to the aria starts at 1:40:15, the aria 55 secs later.
This glorious King-recording actually is great!

Always good to hear another version. Pretty good - lively tempo, light forces - all necessary for JSB. I still stick with my Somary / Amor Artis Chorale on Vanguard (vinyl). Still, this is a splendid rendition. Just avoid Eliot Gradiner - just woeful.
