I like the wild idea a lot, considering he is more into psychological damage instead of physical, I like the idea that adrenaline would be his drive in the fight. Increased resilience and shaky hands i.e Gary would hit harder than he thinks because of adrenaline, would lead to a proper final boss fight
When I fought Gary for the first time, I thought for sure he'd be the toughest Boss yet, because everything that I knew about him led me to believe he'd fight super dirty, and that he'd do any dishonorable thing to win I was disappointed that he was a complete push over

Considering that the player's HP would've tanked from putting the other cliques under control, as well as being thrown stuff at by Gary during the chase. I love the regeneration, some people have really high pain tolerances so I could definitely see it. There’s no way to make him the toughest boss in the game via brute strength alone snd have it make sense but he definitely stepped up his game from Ch. 1. With his boss style, slightly more aggressive fighting like he did here, and the health regeneration I think it’s perfect

In the beta version of the game he was pretty hard to beat but I'm glad that rockstar made him easy to beat because it was a great way to end the game after everything Jimmy had gone through

Probably for me it would be if you throw too many punches while he dodges, he'll use the "Finisher" as a counter even though you're not on low health but you'll still take damage instead, leg sweep would work but using that move too often will make him jump over it and countering it as well. That's all I got, a dirty counter move from Gary
A while ago I noticed that trick to be able to have "a decent combat with Gary" you literally have to hit him three times while blocking you and wait for him to return his attack, if you just dedicate yourself to hitting him you know what happens... (sorry for bad English)
Also if you punch in the direction of the person you're fighting but you miss they will be more likely to increase their attack rate. I've tested this with Johnny Vincent's boss fight before on PS4.
Made sense for Jimmy to beat Gary who relied entirely on his manpower other than himself to fend himself from Jimmy but as a game it doesn't make it as fun as we'd expect.
I mean, for a guy who is supposed to be the final boss... he's pretty easy to beat in vanilla. Admitably, they could have designed Gary to be more of a Geese Howard-esque character, a cunning schemer and a tougher foe to beat, but they had to make him a manipulator who just gets people to fight others instead of doing it himself.
Imagine if Gary pulled out a switchblade during this phase, there’s no going back now, either Jimmy beats Gary. Or he dies. Kinda like how if you fail the boss tower in mkx it shows your head on a spike
This definitely would’ve been awesome the way to fight him if he’s this tough is to find a opening if he blocks is the uppercut or the leg sweep the uppercut breaks his blocking and then you attack and the sweep keep kicking him while he’s down

Not necessarily a hard hitter or tough to beat, but for him to constantly attack and never give you a break. It would be in character after he reveals everything and also would provide some difficulty spike without it actually being too hard.
to be honest, I didn't mind that Gary was a weak boss. He wasn't suppose to be strong or a great fighter. He's a manipulating weasel who gets other people to do the dirty work for him, so it's only natural that he's not really good at fighting. I feel like this fight was a way to satisfy players that we finally get to kick Gary's ass after all the shit he's put us through.

most ppl don't know how to break enemies block the easier way, holding punch button? yeah it does, but u actually doesn't need to hold it for too long cuz if u did, it'll only change into second phase moveset (uppercut, leg sweep, etc). You only need to hold punch button for 0.5 sec to change it into block breaking punch. Here's the perfect example for it in case you guys didn't realize it 1:48
While this is cool and all, all this modification seems pretty trivial since all of Jimmy's strong attacks are UNBLOCKABLES, and each part of his attack string can still easily break Gary's guard by slightly delaying it anyway. All in all, Jimmy is just completely broken in this game lol

Something else they shouldn't have done for Gary besides give him horrible stats is make him be considered a small character. Why can you bowl him over or trip him up? And he should've had anti-grapple too as well as the dodges and counterattacks he was originally going to have
Because he can't grapple and doesn't have strength advantage over Jimmy either, so how's he supposed to anti-grapple? Gary wasn't supposed to be a threat physically, whole point of the ending was to show that he's a weak fool playing your game which is brawn, which isn't his game, so you beat the shit out of him.

As the final boss it should have been a very difficult fight. But it was very easy. I am not talking about this mod. I am talking about the real game. This mod looks kinda difficult. But still the both of them have very basic fighting animations.
Yeah. In the PS2 version the boss fight camera is alot more zoomed in and the Bullworth Academy symbol is only visible during the fight on the PS2 version as well.

Nothing in the mission is altered. Just Gary's health and his attack/block rate was modified.
