@@icanaja8192 it's not effective. Bjj can easily win against you once you hit the ground. Like I said, silat is a dance just like capoeira. There is a reason why it is not used in ufc; because it's not effective. It has too many unneccesary moves and poses. Muaythai, judo, and bjj are the true goats. I trained muaythai and now judo. I fought a black belt silat trainer once. He asked me to not hit him on the head because apparently that is the rule in silat which is funny. But then he lost with one slam to the ground and one head choke a few minutes later.
@jimgreat3820 the same rule as kyokushin too dont chu think? Wutt about greco, freestyle, sambo? If u can only pick one due to time, money, miles, etc, wutt would chu choose? Krav and FMA right?
@@icanaja8192 kyokushin is a real deal. The no punching to the head rule still doesnt make sense to me. It's a martial art after all. I'm not familiar with other martial arts you mentioned. Many people said krav maga was a joke. But am not sure. choose one of the 3 martial arts that I recommended above: muaythai, judo, and bjj. You cant go wrong with these three. I personally like grappling more than striking. That's why I left muaythai for judo. It's very, very effective in a street fight. But never do a street fight unless it's necessary.
As a Kali practitioner, it feels like Kali is weapons + grappling, while Silat is grappling + weapons if that makes sense.
Yes that makes sense. That makes it a perfect blend in my opinion. That's why arranged this joint seminar
Silat is just a dance disguised as martial art 😂
I've never seen MMA does ground and pound like that in UFC, Rizin, Pride, PFL, Bellator, One, Cage Warriors, have u? 1:45
Have u seen any muay thai or lethwei does that? 0:58
