    Just bought an ebike from Amazon and when I put the front wheel on, I get significant rub on the disc... I am going to try this. Thank you!

      Same thing bought 2 like bikes one had front brake issue which brought me to your video 👍🏻 and one had neck fitment issue .. great customer support tho

    Hey that was perfect, especially the centering of the disc. When I watch the bike shop pro types they don't or can't just show the simple mechanics of brakes like these and I know the more I mess with them the worse they get... until now, thank you sir.

    Thanks for this vid, I have been needing a simpler way to understand which way to tighten the hand grips of the breaks. Now I know which is loose or tightened. ✌🏽👍🏽☺️

      That's the same bike I have ! I've been having major issues with my brakes since I got it 3 months ago. Already had the bike shop fix them 3 times and they still keep coming loose . I've tried doing everything they showed me at the shop as well as every video on TH-cam and I still can't figure it out . I followed this video to a T and still can't get my back brake to work .

      @@JordanBeachBodycoach I got a P6 too and my brakes are really bad, that's the weakness of our bikes, i'm trying to adjust mine as well and having an hard time. The best thing to do is to change the brakes setup completly for an hydrolic brake system before we die on this thing haha

    This was super informative, I been struggling with my brakes alot, I got charged a mini fortune last time I took it to a shop so would like to learn how to do it, I take my 2 and 4 year olds to nursery on my EBike so its important my brakes are perfect at all times, great video, thank you.

      @@mikerochester Yes I was out there straight after watching this to try sort my brakes out, I have a 'Bronx Buggy', I managed to do the Front brakes and grips ok, but the back proved to be bit more challenging, its better than what it was... but its not as great as the front.

      @@BMTVMeditationandSleep When they still give me a hard time there is a little tool I use that keeps the breaks sentered. I believe it was less then $10 on Amazon.

    I definitely will try Step 2, because my brakes are very loose, so when I go a bit too fast and I need to brake on time, it won't, I need like 10 seconds and it's not handy. So I will try this tomorrow!, This is a very helpful information.

      You could use a bungee or some kind of clamp to hold the breakdown

    My hand brakes seem to be good but i'm getting this loose & "grinding" feel when i brake. Im assuming i need to adjust the pads? Thanks for the video, gonna try this out.

      This works with mechanical brakes front or rear. :)

    I have mechanical disc brakes on my e-bike. When I apply a constant force on the levers to stop the bike normally, the actual stopping force oscillates between hard and soft braking. My bike is brand new is this expected? Should I just wait for the problem to go away or is there something I can do about it?

      New brakes normally need to be bedded in. I would just make sure that you're brake calipers are tightened down and that your rotors are not bent. More than that I would check with the local bike shop.

    sometimes my rear brake makes a click sound when i pull down on it and after the brake completely stops working and i have to adjust it again. do you know any way to fix this issue?

      Wonder if your screw is stripped or coming loose somehow not really sure what's going on there probably best bet to take it into a bike shop in your area.

    I tried to install a second light on my headlamp and didnt go good my lights now dont turn off from the light off and on switch now i have to turn the lights off from the off and on switch feom my battery now how can i fix it cuz i dont want my lights on during the day while i ride it. Also the new light didnt survive cuz the freego EV bike battery is to much power so it blew it out. Now i jist want to turn my lights off from the regular place but it doesnt

      If the brakes are rubbing on the brake pads this should realign them. Squeaking sound can be coming from other stuff as well including oils on the rotor.

    Nothing helped . If I do the adjustments you mentioned the pads are to tight around rotor . If I leave the brake lever arm in the relaxed position the brake touches the handle bar and doesn’t do anything I’m so frustrated

    I've tried everything in every video and nothing works . My bike is still brand new . The back breaks just constantly give out and I can't figure out how to get em tight

    FYI You didn't put barrel connectors back to starting point. That's just the lock nut. You have to screw the ENTIRE (lock nut and barrel) all the way into the lever housing to add back all the slack removed over time with adjustment. The lock nut should ALWAYS be tight, regardless of where the barrel is, to keep it from moving unintentionally. Good video otherwise, but you definitely need to completely remove the barrel slack BEFORE pulling more cable through else you wont have any adjustment room in the field.
