My hand brakes seem to be good but i'm getting this loose & "grinding" feel when i brake. Im assuming i need to adjust the pads? Thanks for the video, gonna try this out.
I have mechanical disc brakes on my e-bike. When I apply a constant force on the levers to stop the bike normally, the actual stopping force oscillates between hard and soft braking. My bike is brand new is this expected? Should I just wait for the problem to go away or is there something I can do about it?
New brakes normally need to be bedded in. I would just make sure that you're brake calipers are tightened down and that your rotors are not bent. More than that I would check with the local bike shop.
sometimes my rear brake makes a click sound when i pull down on it and after the brake completely stops working and i have to adjust it again. do you know any way to fix this issue?
Wonder if your screw is stripped or coming loose somehow not really sure what's going on there probably best bet to take it into a bike shop in your area.

If the brakes are rubbing on the brake pads this should realign them. Squeaking sound can be coming from other stuff as well including oils on the rotor.
Nothing helped . If I do the adjustments you mentioned the pads are to tight around rotor . If I leave the brake lever arm in the relaxed position the brake touches the handle bar and doesn’t do anything I’m so frustrated
I've tried everything in every video and nothing works . My bike is still brand new . The back breaks just constantly give out and I can't figure out how to get em tight
@@mikerochester I very much felt the obligation, seeing as how you helped me fix my bike! 😁 I've dreaded this for two weeks now thinking that it was gonna be hard to get it right and take time. But following along your video was super easy and quick! 😄
FYI You didn't put barrel connectors back to starting point. That's just the lock nut. You have to screw the ENTIRE (lock nut and barrel) all the way into the lever housing to add back all the slack removed over time with adjustment. The lock nut should ALWAYS be tight, regardless of where the barrel is, to keep it from moving unintentionally. Good video otherwise, but you definitely need to completely remove the barrel slack BEFORE pulling more cable through else you wont have any adjustment room in the field.
Thank you, this is the first video that made sense and was easy to follow. Saved me time and money at a bike shop. Thanks!!
