8:44 Stalker is just that kind of boss where it's really nostalgic because of how many times we've fought him in the demo. He's also the first boss we saw back when Stellar Blade was called "Project EVE".
For me, Raven is the best boss fight in the game, especially on Hard difficulty. Also, most of the alternate bosses are a good step above the normal ones (in terms of difficulty and fun). So I think they shouldn't be on the same Tier. Gigas + Stalker + Abadon alt versions A tier for me, normal ones B Tier. The Abyss bosses (Maelstrom) should have been a little trickier. I love the dead space feel of the levels and the focus on weapon gameplay, but the bosses presented no challenge. D-Tier for me. The same goes for the gatekeepers. They're basically just a training session for perfect parries. It's nice to have them, but I would have liked to have had a proper boss fight with them later on, where they have an advanced moveset like Tachy and Raven and not just one or two combo strings. But they were fun nonetheless. PS. Love the game - just one trophy away from platinum. Soon, soon...
Hello and thanks for the comment! I actually considered separating the rematches by a tier, but I didn't want my A-tier so crowded. The other option was to drop the original fights in B-tier down a level but it didn't sound right having Abaddon/Stalker etc as C-tier bosses. Maybe I could've done A+/A- or something. About Maelstrom, I was actually thinking it'd be neat if they were trickier, like having to jump around falling platforms or some kind of environmental hazards. I hope they can expand their ideas on gimmick/non-conventional bosses in future releases. The gatekeepers are there to test you not kill you, so lore-wise it kinda makes sense that their moveset wouldn't be so complicated. But it would be very cool to see a 2v1 or a longer fight vs a mutated gatekeeper-turned-naytiba, possibly defending a Maelstrom. Congrats on the platinum when you get it! Happy to hear you're enjoying the game
Can't go wrong with your tier list. I mostly can agree with the list, though I don't like certain bosses as much, like Unidentified Naytiba. I think most of us have to agree that Elder Naytiba is more of a proper final boss than Providence. The whole presentation alone, complete with the way the Elder effortlessly handled Providence merely as Adam, made him come off as the ultimate fight in the game, while Providence looked more like an inconvenience. I also generally prefer the Elder fight more, as he isn't quite as aggressive compared to Providence. I do find Providence at melee is easier parry and dodge practice. My shoddy shooting and having more trouble tracking the cherubs get me killed by the Elder's insta-kill more often. I sometimes forget that both Maelstroms are bosses in the game. :p Quiel and Rael were at least fights, while Maelstrom made me question why they have boss meters. And what else is there to say about Raven? She's tough, but in a good way. I didn't mind dying to her many times as opposed to dying even once against some of the other bosses, because she always felt like a challenge I could eventually overcome. I had to rely on certain gear to do so, but I still beat her in hard mode, and I am not good.
That's fair! Sometimes I don't like fighting UN either 🤣 but good point about Adam disintegrating Providence; it does make him look very overpowered which is exciting leading up to the fight. Elder shows that same confidence Tachy does, almost like there's some respect there. Mother Sphere shows ZERO respect and just ordered Providence to "sic 'em!" LOL
I totally agree with your list except I would have Providence in S tier. Great work though. You really know the game. I'm currently on my third play through, but I doubt I'll ever get as good as players like you. Can't wait for Stellar Blade II.
To my prespective unidentified naytiba and adam boss mod is the most challenging one Unlike the others where you can easily end them if you can parry and evade
Agree almost 100%. The only changes for me would be to swap Abaddon and Gigas, simply because I enjoy the Abaddon fights more, but that's just personal preference, and I would also swap Democrawler with Unidentified Naytiba. Again, just because I hate fighting UN, but I can't deny it's an epic fight. Everything else, 💯
Thanks for watching Tallenn! Yeah I can understand that; Abaddon did win the community vote over Gigas by a good margin. Honestly all of the B-tier bosses are good enough that it could've been A- vs A+ tier 😅 UN is a slippery one!
I agree with s tiers but man I have such a hard time parrying Tachy, I dont do well against delayed attacks. Raven's tempest I am still learning to perfect dodge. One of the things I dont like about Stellar Blade is how parrying doesnt feel reactional against very fast bosses like Raven. Feels like you have to predict her attacks. But that doesnt make the game any less great. I really want Raven dlc.
Thanks for watching! Yeah the cricket slashers early in Eidos 7 with their delays made me think "damn I have a lot to learn!" I like counting through strings to remember the timings, and Tachy in particular has very distinctive startup frames to help recognize what's coming at you. It's a knowledge-based game more than reactive, I agree with you there, and that makes the replay value so high 👍
@@halfwaytillbliss I've only killed the first half of hard Bossrush, so I have no opinions on those later bosses on hard... however, I've never had a problem beating Raven to this point, and I generally suck at this game. I think it's because I use ranged attacks (Shockwave) that knock her down, then rush in and chop her up... then retreat again. That negates much of her ability to counter beta attacks. She's also very susceptible to shock grenades. Also, her attacks are largely the same speed, so they are easier to time with practice. Really fun fight, but I always feel bad for her at the end. Eve is so horribly cold.
Nice! I remember asking for this video in your community boss ranking posts, but I imagine a lot of people did. It'd be cool to see the community rankings shown in a short video, even if it would have to be in a bracket format.

That's a good point, I forgot Stalker was in that old "battle report" video!
Democrawler is S Tier imo ( Bloodborne Ludwig and DS3 Lorian Vibes + EPIC OST)
@@Gringoo777 i think raven is the toughest but in terms of favourites democrawler is my number 1
Real, the Democrawler theme and the set piece is what makes it special for me. 💙
Abbadon 2 is easily S, but at least A tier. It’s such a good boss fight and build up. And Democrawler easy S tier.
Despite Demogorgon being the Alpha, that title really goes to Democrawler

This Rankings are Valiiiidddd!!!! i agree with all this tiers!
Great list! Mostly agree! I would bump up Democrawler to S and Second Abbadon to A. Otherwise agreed!
Hi there, one thing I actually meant to do was put Abaddon 2 in front of Abaddon 1 but I can respect bumping him up too. Thanks for watching!
Raven has the best music IMO, but Democrawler and Tachy are fire too in their own ways.
Can't go wrong with any of their tracks 😎
In NG+ i destroyed every Boss with only Tachy Mode, Triplet and Drone weapons :D
hey. i like your Chibi picture of those three. did you make them yourself?
Hey thank you, my artist is @riri.meow_ on Instagram! You can reach out to her for commissions
I thought Adam would be S tier++
he's in a tier of his own really 😆
