Harri, in It's Now or Never everyone in the studio said he can't hit the highest note near the end. They suggested to drop it down to a key he could perform. He said he'd hit the note. Listen for yourself. He was truly beautiful. Thanks for the great work, sir.

It's hard to believe that he had enough time in his short life to do all those songs. And then there were the movies, and live performances. And he did most of it earlier on. His health went downhill.

Used to like watching Elvis and all the Beach movies during the same years. All fun & easy on the ears and brain;-). Not a huge Elvis fan, but I don't question his impact on early rock n roll. An odd choice of song given the stalker and voyeuristic nature of the thriller. Maybe it was like The Police's 'Every breathe you take' (which might have been a more appropriate track to use), and Elvis' sweet love song was being used as a statement of obsession rather than actual love.

Never heard of UB40...it sounds like Ebonics for "you're 40", or an obscure virus. Like all humans, Elvis was flawed, but his musicality was pure, organic, original. This is one of his best. You MUST hear him do "Love Me". Love Me Tender is also popular, but Love Me is to die for. It came out in the 50's.

Another song that comes to mind is Always on My Mind. Many people think Willie Nelson did it first. Elvis's version is beautiful and worth a listen.
