Elvis never had any vocal training!!!
Even trained singers say they have no idea how he was able to have such a vocal range.
    He could sing anything.
So great to see young people beginning to recognize his talent. Thank you Harri for the reaction.

How many times have I cried over this song? Elvis is in our hearts forever. Thank you again, Harri. You have great taste in music. Keep up the good work. And you mentioned his baritone. Check out It's Now or Never where he shows his range at the end. Unbelievable.

Harri, in It's Now or Never everyone in the studio said he can't hit the highest note near the end. They suggested to drop it down to a key he could perform. He said he'd hit the note. Listen for yourself. He was truly beautiful. Thanks for the great work, sir.

Great reaction Harry. In 1972 I found myself on the altar with my soon to be brother in law on guitar next to me and sang this song to my bride. It is a memory never to leave. Yes, all because of Elvis's voice and his place in my life. Your words about Elvis are so welcomed. He lives in my life still. A savior of sorts. Be safe!

"Love Me Tender" and this great one are THE love songs by Elvis. He had a special relationship to this song, Hawaii and its people!
And he spent almost all of his vacations there.
As mentioned before he ended almost every show with this song. And he always performed it in another way. When this song was over, the show was devinitley over!
    And Elvis left the building!
Thank you for reacting to this beautiful song.

Can’t Help Falling in Love is a sentimental song originally sung by Elvis Presley in 1961. It is a variation on the French song Plaisir d'amour, performed by George Weiss, Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore. This title then had many covers. Elvis Presley recorded Can’t Help Falling in Love on September 25, 1961, at the Radio Recorders studio, Hollywood, for the movie Blue Hawaii. The song (take # 29) first appeared on the film's soundtrack on October 1 of the same year, then as a single on November 22.

Every American's first time hearing Elvis is most likely Blue Christmas, but after that it's either I Can't Help Falling in Love with You, Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock, or Heartbreak Hotel. Hound Dog was in Grease, but other than that I'm not sure how everyone finds Elvis; he just kind of creeps into every American's life at some point, lol. This is a much beloved song and a true classic. ❤

Elvis released this in 1961, UB40's cover version was in 1993 and used in the Sharon Stone film 'Sliver'. There's two promos for UB40's single, one featuring just the band, the other intercut with clips from the film, both using security camera style footage . An odd choice of song given the stalker and voyeuristic nature of the thriller. Maybe it was like The Police's 'Every breathe you take' (which might have been a more appropriate track to use), and Elvis' sweet love song was being used as a statement of obsession rather than actual love.

Never heard of UB40...it sounds like Ebonics for "you're 40", or an obscure virus. Like all humans, Elvis was flawed, but his musicality was pure, organic, original. This is one of his best. Good reaction. Okay. It's a day later and I just looked up UB40. No wonder I've never heard of them. I can't sing, I'm not a singer,, so I don't impose myself on the human race as such. Unfortunately, UB40 has no such restraint. They butchered the song because it's out of their range...what range they have.
