This movie sets the bar very high for Hmong movies. The background sounds of birds, insects, and livestock are really evocative and makes you feel like you're there! The scenes are well shot and the dialogue is realistic. Great job to the whole cast, all the spoken Hmong is on point and their acting is great as well. Keep making movies please! Wished the sound effects in the background wasn’t as loud while the people were talking especially in the beginning part when the guy was talking about how sad he was. Had to turn up my volume 😅 but all I could focus on was the sound effects

Great cinematography and better than any other Hmong movies. Its unnatural that Ntsuag used the word 'kho siab' too many times. In addition, the background music is unnecessary during the conversations and sometimes too loud.
That's because there's no written script to follow by. Which is bad and the acting part is just not even there. This movies feels more like a biography instead of a movie

Good movie but voice Audio is poor on a lot of scenes can’t hear.
Hardly a good movie. It's a terrible video, bad narrative, poor lighting, zero written script and bad acting. It was just plain boring. The OG don't even know how to communicate like a mature adult. When they speak. They mostly just talk in a poor manner.

30 minutes in and I'm already annoyed of the same song being played over and over 😅 I hope it doesn't go on for the whole movie lol. Other than that, the movie is ok so far. It isn't really my cup of tea, but I do love their clothes!
