Spiny isnt actually weak really. If you really think about it. A lot of thr time he was beat was because the alpha gang are crap at using dinosaurs and he was.jumped(e.g being focused on another dinosaur and being hit from behind by paris, chomp or ace) i guarntee you if spiny had battled all of fights he had with paris under rod and lauras guidance, he would have cremed paris
You could swear the writers were somehow all Spinosaurus haters It really hurts as he should be the most powerful of the six (at least on par with his supposed rival Terry) cuz unlike the latter, Spiny has agility, speed, probably reflexes and weapons too since he's supposed to be able to use his arms for some serious bitch slapping around, not to forget the advantage of being semi-aquatic as I'm pretty sure he would demolish all said dinos (even together) underwater. Yeah, such unfortunately wasted potential for my fav. dino, if I ever were given permission to write another season or just a movie sequeling the show, I'd give'em justice in a story kinda focusing on him where he gets decent development both in character, importance, intelligence and strength with like an unstoppable rage mode or somethin.'
I also like Spino and Spiny lacks justice, a lot of justice, but curiously they didn't nerfer him, they made him "Equally strong than his real counterpart" being treated as a punching bag
A ver tampoco hay que exagerar, spiny era un personaje secundario de los ya secundarios villanos de la serie, tiene todo el sentido, Spiny y Tank son el equivalente de Arbok y Weezing en Pokémon, Terry ha tenido mejor trato que ellos porque aún ser villano, no deja de ser el dinosaurio más famoso y popular de todos, lógicamente el Tyranosaurus Rex siempre va a ser importante, el único producto en el que el Espinosaurio destacó por encima del Rex fue JP3 y ya a todo el mundo le quedó claro que fue un error esa idea de forma que en la ficciones siguientes el Rex siempre ha dejado claro que lo de jp3 fue un accidente y el siempre estará destacando incluso aunque sea un villano Resumen: El espinosaurio es un buen dinosaurio y es importante pero está lejos de otros como el Rex el Triceratops velociraptor o incluso el Carnotaurus en popularidad y obviamente en dinosaur king su papel estaba claro, aún así merece la pena decir que al menos es uno de los 6 dinosaurios de la serie que más tiempo en pantalla tiene y un 6 estrellas en el juego

Probably because the Alpha Gang aren’t the real villains in the end, and they are pretty lame at using their dinos. For example, when Rod and Laura use Tank, Terry or Spiny, they do far better. And since Seth is the real bad guy, he is such a tough guy to beat (either it is with his Saurophaganax, his black T Rex, or his Cryolophosaurus).
Sadly true if you look at all the losses Spiny has had throughout the show, hell most of his wins are ones by proxy of being supported by another dino (Terry or Futaba) Edit: and Tank
