I grew up in Southeast Asia and started Muay Thai during the golden era; back then, knowledge was very regional. Now, with social media, we can access all of it and customize what works for us individually. Aside from history and posterity, the Muay Thai library is a fantastic repository of all this excellent knowledge. Thank you, Sylvie, for creating and making this knowledge accessible to anyone around the world. And yes, I am a subscriber of the Muay Thai library.
God...what a privelage for Sylvie to be working with these repositories of Muay Thai wisdom. Golden fighter matured by wisdom. Ready to share with eager students. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Its so beautiful to watch the connection you have with your trainer. Thank you for sharing your training. How you translate and describe everything so visually, makes it really easy to understand and connect to it. My flow and technique has improved alot since i discovered your channel. Thank you so much!
This was so fun to watch, I was smiling the entire way through! Thank you Sylvie for sharing your journey and the incredible lessons you are learning with these legends.
I can say this is but far the best you have ever looked. Your aggressiveness and range your flow and shift between low and nd high and long and short range attacks looks beautiful. Continue the good work.
Aside from this being a major educational and inspiring technical video, I am just amazed by your ability to communicate in Thai. I speak 5 languages or so and it doesn’t include Thai, what I do know is that for a westerner this is a tough language!
Sylvie, I know there are Muay Khao/Muay Sok fighters like Yodkhunpon but are there any Nak Muay who specialize in elbows and punches, like Muay Mat/Muay Sok hybrids?
That's a nickname that will bring terror.. Elbow Hunter of the 100 Stitches. P.S.: I think filter from 20min mark is the best. A bit dark but I prefer this over the other bright filters. Just open the exposure a little bit and you should be good to go.
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai I’m so narrow minded that I use a Sony Ax-33 for all my action recording for my matches and TH-cam channel. Are you having any issues with the auto focus? That’s why I use a camcorder Bc I worry about focus lag. But, the clarity of this video is damn sexy! JUST CLEAN! I never knew of this camera until I asked you. Now I’m covering.
@@BadWolfMMANashville (I'll have my husband answer, Kevin, as he's the one shooting) -- "The auto-focus is crazy good on this camera, because of its new processor. Just google around and you'll see tests and examples. In this case because of the lighting contrast and the lens being wide open (I'm guessing), there were a couple of targeting issues, and I was changing the frame during the shoot, but that wasn't really lag. I'm still messing with the right target frames for this kind of action."
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai thank you for the reply Kevin. I dig the old school body of the Fujifilm camera. It seems like the Canons just lag when the processor is trying to acquire the target to focus on. I am super curious to how the camera will film at her fights because the venues have such drastic variances in lighting between the ring to the crowd. Not sure what microphone you are using, but the sound from the session isn't muffled or hallow sounding. Are you cleaning up the original sound in post? Or does the camera just pick it up so nicely? I never realized non camcorders could shoot action like this. I am new to running a channel so I have a lot to learn. 👍🏾👊🏾
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai Kevin what are you doing for lenses? They can be heavy and expensive. What is needed for filming in fight distance?
100 years from now people will be studying these videos.
I am already doing it.
Probably more like 50, its gold.
I am right now
Why a hundred years from now, I’m doing it rn
Every year i see less and less clinch... all because of entertainment muay thai

Come on! Whatever filter you like! Just keep posting these fabulous work!
The level of intricacy and technique in the training is complimented by the great commentary. So happy I discovered this video and channel.
Yudkhunpon is wearing an Australian rules football Jersey what a legend
25:20 looks good, very natural and the colors are still strong. i like it (y)
the filter starting @ 2:02 was best imo. It was generally more pleasant to watch, sufficiently bright to see everything w/out seeming oversaturated.
This woman and Lawrence Kenshin help break the movements down so well to learn about Muay Thai. :)
Beautiful mentor
Well done
You got some good knees Sylvie. Choke Dee!!
This was so fun to watch, I was smiling the entire way through! Thank you Sylvie for sharing your journey and the incredible lessons you are learning with these legends.

Sylvie, I know there are Muay Khao/Muay Sok fighters like Yodkhunpon but are there any Nak Muay who specialize in elbows and punches, like Muay Mat/Muay Sok hybrids?
Muangthai P.K.Saenchai is more punches and elbows. Anuwat Kaewsamrit is another who comes to mind, heavy hands and good elbows.
That's a nickname that will bring terror.. Elbow Hunter of the 100 Stitches.
P.S.:
I think filter from 20min mark is the best. A bit dark but I prefer this over the other bright filters. Just open the exposure a little bit and you should be good to go.
