I own a dressage club with 50 members, I try to make practice fun while also trying to be strict so they can learn, we recently did circle meters and comb alignment, some of them were struggling and I explained it so many different ways so everyone could learn, we tried it so many times so they could get it. It’s hard sometimes, but teaching them and them getting it, is so rewarding! We are chat so it can be hard sometimes. I even am willing to spend 20 minutes writing down moves and definitions in a mail to someone because they asked, I don’t mind helping and explaining, sometimes its just hard when they aren’t willing to learn or put in the effort. It’s always so hard to own a club because you cant please everyone so sometimes i just get drained, thankfully i have some of the most amazing leaders who are willing to help me when i need a break. Great video! You just gained a new sub

I adore this new format, super interesting to see other people’s opinion and also have a good laugh looking at some of the responses! Also the lack of responses from the form I filled out is slightly disappointing…

Can't believe u chose one of my answers, I'm actually amazed (20:32) I was the bottom answer, the instructor was lvl 15 and an irl friend of the owner's so that's why they managed to get instructor, but they would stand around during practice and also do the "I can't control my horse" thing

im in quite a big ssd comp club atm, its the first ‘proper’ club ive ever been in and after almost a year and a half i still look forward to event everyday. im rubbish at lefts and rights but have NEVER been made fun of for it or yelled at, its a running joke and we all just laugh it off and move on. the owner is really good at dealing with drama and honestly one of the nicest people i know. it does get stressful when filming for comps, especially when were low on reserves but in general theyre good fun. im honestly so glad ive never had a negative experience 😭

Star stable has the weirdest community. There are so many wonderful amazing members, but it feels so off. Like there's a strange vibe just hanging around.

I joined a new dressage club and I've been having a great time. Only two practices a week, not required, no competition (I'm only really here for fun, not for competing) and very beginner friendly. The club leader is super outgoing and nice, and the members are all nice too. But there was an instance where I had to kinda take over club practice because some girl got permission to instruct that practice and started it on a whim like an hour earlier than when it's supposed to start. She didn't know how to properly command (instead of saying trot set, trot set, prep, go; she'd literally just say "go." And that was it) and she kept trying to give us moves when we weren't properly setup to do them (she kept trying to make us do a wave when we were against the fence.) I and one other member explained to her like 4 times why we couldn't do a wave and she just wasn't getting it even after we demonstrated it to her. I wasn't rude, and I did my best not to step on her toes but I was the line leader and so I just did my best to just guide her and do the moves. At some point in the middle of practice we stopped bc we were waiting for another girl to join and she tried to get us to practice jumping.. Thankfully the club leader came and took over again and the rest of practice was fine but I ended up privately messaging her to let her know about the 'instructor' and she thanked me and said she'd make sure to update it where you can't instruct unless you've attended a few practices first lol

I got accepted as a trail in Saturn Manes.( a while ago) the dressage test instructor made fun of people who didnt know the ssd basics in-front of people who couldn’t do it. It got to a point were i thought it was embarrassing cause her voice switched to a different voice and then proceeded to act like a beginner and said stuff like “omg what is a fateeee?”
After that I didn’t care if I passed or not cause I didn’t wanna join anyways.
