- Last time, I designed and started building a huge shipyard using Minecraft Create mod. Today, I finish building the shipyard and add several working dockyard cranes that you can move around on the rails throughout the shipyard. I also test out my drydock using my current ship.

@Sbeev that's awesome. The level of _practical_ detail in this is astonishing. It's basically what I dreamed about making when I was 8yo playing the 1.8 beta, but was never able to. It's beautiful seeing all this working practicaly in game. Congrats! Excelent job as always mate

To be honest, I think the best use for the drydock is to use the smaller one to build your corvette/destroyer class ship, and have the hull of a battleship slowly forming episode by episode in the big dock.
Like, you don't really say much about it or even acknowledge it much. It'll just be there, forming in the background over time. Otherwise, if you're gonna build a whole battleship in one episode, the drydock is kinda pointless.
Is there a way to use the schematicanon but slow it way, way down, to like maybe 5-15 blocks per MC day? If so, that could be used to show that it's slowly being built.
First ship should be a ocean exploration ship with tons of equipment for research and exploration including a diving bell since as you said the vents are deep under the ocean.

15:57 you should add cradles at the bottom of the drydock. They have them in real drydocks for the ship to rest upon when the water is drained. Not only so that the ship doesn’t tilt over and hit the side, but also so they can access and work on the keel of the vessel!
I got a small idea for the dock, add some lights in the ground so it's more lit up and mobs won't spawn on it, maybe crate mod lights or copper bulbs?
Cam's better lights have some amazing lights that would be perfect for this
A small Create Tip: If using a Crushing Wheel setup use a Smart Chute to input into the Wheels and use an attribute filter set to "Can be Crushed" will maybe safe you some ressources
Sbeev should build the transporter bridge that's in Newport, Wales! That would be very cool. I think you'd basically just need a train for the platform and then the thing holding it up. It would be cool but easy

That “arch crane” at NNS (Newport News Shipbuilding) is called a Goliath gantry crane and was designed to be able to support Nimitz class carrier overhauls. The current one replaced the old gantry crane, nicknamed “Big Blue”, in 2020-2021 after a service of nearly 60 years.

just finished watching the entire series and now I get to enjoy the newest episode! I love this modpack, I started playing a few days ago and I'm having a blast!
So I’ve used your mod pack and basically, I’ve tested the mod pack to its limits, and hear me out, make a sub, to make a proper one it is very hard, but possible, it won’t work perfectly, and is really hard to control, so far from my design, but, using eureka, you can make a ship, and removing and adding floatators, you can control depth, and you will have to fit in anchors, but air is the easiest fix, now the ship will flood, but using the diving suit, you can breath in it, and in multiplayer, it makes it so the subs not too OP so it has to surface for air and can’t stay under. Now weaponry, that I have yet to figure out, but perhaps using some kind of physics affected block, and wings and flaps from valkery skys, you can make torpedos, and auto cannons and cannons when your surfaced, it’s a sick idea, just it’s hard to balance, and sometimes these thing have to be heavy, cause you need atleast 1 floatator to keep it from falling to the sea floor. Would love to see you get something like this working
Also for a battleship do the Bismarck, or for a more, I guess, creative idea, the admiral graf spee, it’s one of few German pocket battle ships, it had the armor and firepower of a battleship, but the size of a cruiser, now this thing wouldn’t have survived another battleship, but cruisers, destroyers, frigates, subs, it could survive (when it sunk does not count, they scuttled because they couldn’t repair and they wouldn’t make it out to German shores)
you should make some sort of cruiser before you move to battleships so you can get a little more experience in ship building and performance

i guess to clarify a little bit after he builds the corvette and most likely the cargo ship then he does the cruiser then battleship

Typically ships are supported by massive wooden structures underneath when in a dry dock, they are not just "sitting there". Besides that, just as amazing as always :-)

Sbeev, there really isn’t enough of you. Your videos look like the kind of thing that should take more than a week, so it’s not really fair of me to say that. Nonetheless, I love your work.
I Recommend you put something on your dockyard and it's an extended piston on the side so they act as a spirng so that way when water is filling up the ship will stop go side to left, right, back, and fort.
And also you can use backpacks to put it on the side of the schematic cannon so you don't use double chest. And ran put of materials
Idea for an alternate way to make concrete. In a basin pump liquid concrete and ice (or some other cold material or even something to make a blaze burner cold/supercooled) and then press, that will make concrete also additionally for colored concrete pump liquid concrete into a basin (or cauldron what ever it is called) then put a color of dye in the mixture, and mix, then with the colored liquid concrete do the press thing I mentioned earlier and, now you have colored concrete
Forgot to mention this if it wasn’t obvious this is with the create mod and the press is the mechanical press and when I say mix it’s with the mechanical mixer
Sbeev, you could make the power plant on the other side of the ocean and build a mini cargo carrier to transport power from there to your port.
You need to build a big ship like the Rio Grande with lots of containers and fuel tanks for long journeys and a destroyer to protect the port

At some point you need to build a cosmetic oil rig in the ocean, that would look so cool from the docks.
Use water physics overhaul mod OK it will fix your problem.
you can go in the configs and increase the max rotation to make the hose/water pumps pump faster but thats only if you wanted to

personally I would have suggested HMS warspite or Rodney. like yes the iowa class are all cool. but those are all people go on about.
You asked in the last video, but the way I pump water when emptying rivers is to pump the water straight into a steam engine which then uses that water to power the pump emptying out the body of water, it basically acts like a void. I used a crank to jump start it every time so you might have to still use a water wheel or something since you have wireless buttons.
Don't forget the stilts that boats sit on when in dry dock

You could have a schematicannon specifically for reapplying the glue for the cranes and all u have to do is add the glue to it each time

You can speed up the rate and speed of the hosr pully in the config so the dry dock will be a lot faster

hey, so not an engineer but I"m pretty sure a crane that is an arch, with two anchor points, often with wheels to move is called a "gantry-crane" a gantry could be a one of those singposts over highways where the roadsigns or street lights span the entire road. but a garntry crane is like that but a crane. I think you see those a lot in shipyards as theat's what moves shipping containers!

Is there a name for the port,if not i think 'New Constantinople' would suit well considering this is in a colony after all and Constantinople(Istanbul) is an important and big city just like the city you built in the cities,and considering it has railways to a desert area it is realistic too.

If you build a WW2 era aircraft carrier, it won't be much bigger than a battleship
He could build an escort carrier, they were normally slightly smaller than battleships
@jarnol2163 Escort carriers were usually about the size of a cruiser, so they're much smaller (in terms of displacement)

Mate u should add the Realistic water mod (has amazing waves) and u should find a mod that makes water work like in irl to help the docs open the gates and the water from the ocean will fill the area where the boats r(idk if there is one but is a worth a try)
