This and SharaX's remix are all I need for Gaster's theme. This sounds like something you'd hear in the Judgment Hall if Gaster was the Judge instead of Sans. Imagine the Sans fight starts, you attack him... and it hits. Then your game crashes. When you start it back up, Gaster's there... Also an actual NEO fight
sans attacks you as soon as you leave the ruins as toriel never tells him about you (remember "youd be dead where you stand"). Mettaton stays in his box form and you have to find some other way (possibly using magic?) to kill him, as he cant be harmed by physical means. You don't fight papyrus until the end where he is pissed that you killed everyone he loved including sans, then he attacks you with full force, much harder then sans. after you kill papyrus, asgore actually does his job and absorbs the 6 human souls and is joined by flowey who helps out. If you manage to kill him as well you are then confronted by the creme dela creme, gaster, who uses everything he has against you, including moving the game window, attacking you in the menu, destroying your fight button, etc. top it off with the fact that all of his attacks take down your maximum HP a little bit, and the fact that he also has Karmic Retribution and disables invincibility frames, but does 5 damage per tick instead of one like sans, and you've got yourself a fight.

I don't know how, but this theme makes Gaster feel like something that just dominates the battle the nanosecond it begins. It seems somewhat fitting for a scientist that has been stuck in the non-existent existence of the void for forever. He has the knowledge and the power to control the outcome of the confrontation and, by the sound of the theme here, will use it to make your existence absolutely miserable.

SPOILER WARNING This comment is now ironic since it has just been confirmed a couple of hours ago that this is the song for the Gaster-Betty battle in Glitchtale Season 2 Episode 3.
This remix is great. In particular, it creates a new melody using the melodic templates of Gaster's theme and Megalovania. Most other "remixes" of Undertale's score use the same exact melodies in the game. Usually they only edit the harmony, tempo, or timbre, which in my opinion isn't suitable for a published version, especially if you liked the original. This remix is dramatically paced and uses but not depend on Megalovania as a leitmotif in its refrain, which is why it is so great.

sans attacks you as soon as you leave the ruins as toriel never tells him about you (remember "youd be dead where you stand"). Mettaton stays in his box form and you have to find some other way (possibly using magic?) to kill him, as he cant be harmed by physical means. You don't fight papyrus until the end where he is pissed that you killed everyone he loved including sans, then he attacks you with full force, much harder then sans. after you kill papyrus, asgore actually does his job and absorbs the 6 human souls and is joined by flowey who helps out. If you manage to kill him as well you are then confronted by the creme dela creme, gaster, who uses everything he has against you, including moving the game window, attacking you in the menu, destroying your fight button, etc. top it off with the fact that all of his attacks take down your maximum HP a little bit, and the fact that he also has Karmic Retribution and disables invincibility frames, but does 5 damage per tick instead of one like sans, and you've got yourself a fight.

I don't know how, but this theme makes Gaster feel like something that just dominates the battle the nanosecond it begins. It seems somewhat fitting for a scientist that has been stuck in the non-existent existence of the void for forever. He has the knowledge and the power to control the outcome of the confrontation and, by the sound of the theme here, will use it to make your existence absolutely miserable.

This remix is great. In particular, it creates a new melody using the melodic templates of Gaster's theme and Megalovania. Most other "remixes" of Undertale's score use the same exact melodies in the game. Usually they only edit the harmony, tempo, or timbre, which in my opinion isn't suitable for a published version, especially if you liked the original. This remix is dramatically paced and uses but not depend on Megalovania as a leitmotif in its refrain, which is why it is so great.
