i have the same tent! being a 65 yr old, 5’4” solo camper i agree with a woman’s perspective, you can standup in it, lots of room for myself, i can have a sleep cot, table, chair, cooler and a portable toilet inside and still have enough space to walk. i especially like all the windows and storage pockets. i want to see what’s out there in all directions. pulling out the hubs for me might be a little tricky but manageable and the tent all packed away in its carrying bag is only 30lbs so i was about to go on an impromptu camping trip but the world stopped and the universe threw down a hurricane and a few earthquakes!😮! waiting for the coast to clear and head up to Morro Bay. ❤
Hey there! Thanks so much for stopping by and for the comment! Yes, such a great tent for all those reasons! So sorry to hear about the hurricane and earthquakes! Hope you are safe and well! We love Morro Bay. Many visits to the Central Coast as a kid, including camping in Morro Bay. In the recent past, my aunt has had a beach house in Cayucos that we have stayed at many times, just north of Morro Bay. So much better than Pismo, in my opinion. Enjoy the coast, and Adventure On!
@@SoccerMomOffroad made a reservation on sunday to camp at O’Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon. woke up with a sore throat and cancelled my monday thru thursday camp trip. glad i did, Cooks Corner down a short way from the campsite was shot up by a deranged person.
Life has been a great adventure with you!!! I love seeing one of your dreams happen. Looking forward to our next Modoc getaway and hoping for another bug and insect free time. 🐝
Just found your channel, I've watched 2 of your videos now....subscribed. I truck camp mostly, but I agree that having a good way to use the bathroom is a priority! My wife made sure I put something in the truck camper. Great video!
Gunnar! Thanks so much for stopping by, for the comment and for subscribing! I love truck campers. Never owned one personally but I’ve seen some pretty amazing builds out there! Welcome to the channel!
I agree with all her reasons why a regular tent is better than a rooftop tent. I also don't like a heavy rooftop tent on my vehicle which alters the center of gravity and it gives bad gas mileage too.
James! Thx so much for stopping by and for the comment! RTTs have come a long way in areas like comfort and especially aerodynamics with slimline models BUT you’re going to pay top dollar for those things. My RTT is an entry level model that i purchased in 2018 and it is like a big sail on my roof eating up my mpgs, and yes, it does make the rig a little top heavy. But, I still enjoy sleeping up top. Cheers my friend!
