Nice! Did you find it difficult? It's one of the more common questions we get and we love to hear other people's perspective. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

@@idiotsoutdoors honestly it was pretty easy! The hardest part for me was getting the top to fit in the little notches- next time I’ll do that first while it’s on the floor so i can actually see what im doing lol

I have had this tent for 3 years now. I’m a 57 year old 5 ft 3 in female. I set it up by myself. Yes the center pole is the trickiest but doable. One thing I would suggest is don’t worry about it being centered to your car while setting up. I get it all up off to the side, then move it to my vehicle and then stake down.
Also buy the better tents stakes The ones that come with this tent I don’t like to use.
Once a year I do spray all the seams with waterproofing. I do this in my backyard…no car near by as I don’t know what the overspray would do to the vehicle paint.
Finally..I too have an Area 51 bronco sport…so we are twins!

I Solo camp. I actually love this little tent. I did it in like 40 minutes by myself. That center pole was a beast. I made a tiny angle cut at the end of center pole and it slid right on. That was after 30 minutes struggling with that pole!

That center pole is the most difficult part of the setup for sure! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

That centre pole is going to be put in place as nr 1, then you take the side poles 😂😂

Thanks for the very good review. The company that makes this one sent me the link. Wonder if it would be easier to get the main two tent poles set if they were staked in first? No good answer for the 3rd. tent pole. I'm reasonably strong for a 77 yr. old-took me forever to get that one in place...Taking it to Burning Man. Wish me luck.

PS I changed to the other side to close the "3rd pole" and it was a smidge easier. Holding down the entry point with a wrench helped too. FYI-worked for me!

PSS, Again, thanks for you great review. It gave me the confidence to carry on. Took 40 mn. With 2 people it would take 20 mn. max...

Thank you for the great video on this tent. We were nervous about the tent bc we saw your video after we bought it. We got this tent bc it fit our needs and bc of the price point. We got it set up in 15 minutes, thankfully. We were disappointed, though, bc the mesh didn't unzip on the vehicle side. Really defeats the purpose of a connected SUV tent. I just cut the mesh as the tent portion did unzip. I'm hoping to get a year out the tent, at least. Then, plan on upgrading to the 84000 Sportz SUV Tent.

Sorry to hear about your mesh issues. Ours worked fine but I guess quality control is one of the potential sacrifices at this price point. Glad your were able to figure out a work around, hope you enjoy it going forward. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Put a block behind each rear tire so you know when to stop and you will feel if one tire hits before the other tire

We went on our campout. Did not manage to get the tent up. That top pole. More than two old ladies could manage. We did hear a crack once. Bummer. My husband is going to help, see if we can figure it out on a pretty day. Will also waterproof the tent and seams when we do that.

Awe that sucks, the second time was a bit easier. I think it’s about the angle! Share your tips when you figure it out.

I'm looking at the directions and it looks like the center pole should go in FIRST. Has anyone tried that? I could not set that middle pole by myself last time I camped.....don't have the upper body strength.

We got the tent up. In the end it took 3 people....2 men and myself. No way I can use this tent. We left it up to see if it will stretch but doubting it will stretch enough.

Best advice I have seen is to start with a small trip close to home, it takes some of the pressure off. And if anything goes wrong (which it won't) you can abort the mission and try again later. Nothing to worry about, really, especially with car camping. You have a built in home base / safe space / getaway vehicle. I'm confident you'll have fun!

I may be in trouble.....I just bought this same tent. I was hoping I could set it up by myself.....yikes! I am no longer strong.

I believe in you girl…. The second time it was a bit easier as it was a little more level.

I will set it up Thursday! First campout. I will sleep in my traverse but just wanted a tent for extra space. Especially if I go on longer campouts. So excited to camp again. It has been a few years.
