The video is from several parts of Lagos, but largely of Victoria island during the first Nigerian international trade fair to mark her independence in 1960
Things started falling apart when we stopped doing things for our country, and with our conscience and choose the way of wickedness and selfishness, until we retrace our steps we'll keep plunging into the depths of retrogression. I weep for my nation.
Polo players... probably shell executives after a hard work day of environmental destruction and resources robbery. 😪 Anyways, great content... as usual 😎🤙🏾
Makes me so nostalgic.
I was 17 then and we lived at 9 Kuramo Close, Ikoyi.
Decades later, I still yearn for those days.
Lagos, my hometown forever
Your documentary takes me way way back to my teenage years in Lagos as a small boy. It brings back memories. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Nice video, enjoy watching old videos of nigeria
1967 perhaps, but noway 1977, I was there in 77 to 83 it was a wreck by 77 and all the old timer cars had gone...
..that was not 1977, I was 13 years old and the place was full of Peugeot 504s and 404s. Lovely footage but make an effort with some research...
@@oluakinyemi5375 I did, I scanned my memory for about 1/2 second, and could instantly debunk the date, cheers
My teenage years. Thanks for these memories.
It's extremely clean

I doubt this is Lagos in 1977. The vehicles appear to be doing left hand driving. Nigeria changed to right-hand driving in 1972.
Please do have footage of festac town of the 70’s ? And surulere as well of the same period ?
Congratulations gotagefopro i like all your videos
DAMN. NIGERIA GOT IT RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING. HOW DID EVERYTHING FELL APART?.

The Air of whiteman's presence was still echoeing before Ego, Greed, Wickedness, Tribalism had to take its refuge.
