I really enjoy these kind of informational videos that you put out Scott. It really helped me to think about things to consider, protection, weight, possible rain. I typically host game nights, but this helps me to consider what those attending will want to consider. Thanks!
Thank you Scott. I have never thought of putting a box in the Ikea bag. The practical test is extremely valuable and sets your video apart from most other videos.
Hi there ;) Thanks for the in-depth comparison and some laughs (subtle plug for GGG, "Where’s a student when you need one?", "There’s no grace here."). It’s always a pleasure to see your videos. Regarding insufficiently padded straps/handles: Just add some cushion pads (for backpacks or seatbelts) to avoid bruising.
I fit 3 FFG "Coffin" boxes(TI3,Starcraft&Descent) in one of those military parachute bags. Impressive. I also bought a should strap for it for 6 bucks.
I use a Sela Cajon bag, which seems to be very similiar to a ChromaCast, but it features much wider and more comfortable backpack straps. Seems like a good solution for us germans.
Yes, I also always used to use a big rolling bag. When I'm driving and bring a lot, I still do, but I can't handle the beast full of games on stairs and trains.
Scott Nicholson since you live in Canada. I got a Cajon bag as well! Try the Neewer Cajon bag, similar to Chromacast, but the backpack straps are padded and it even has rubber feet and a pocket in front for smaller games. Available on Amazon and its eligible for Prime!
There's a new 2nd edition of the Game Haul bag coming which seems to have straps more like those seen on the last cajon bag (the top loading one). You might look for that.
Great video, Scott! Are you concerned about the top handle on the Chromacast bag coming loose? I've heard this as a potential negative compared to the handle on the Game Canopy bag which is stitched all the way around. And since the games are probably going to weigh more than a cajon, the top handle wasn't designed for the weight.
I didn't put links in the videos, as where I can get them in Canada will be different from the US. I put the name in the video description - search on "Canvas Parachute Cargo Bag" for an assortment of them on amazon.
Any amazon links/searches to find a poker chip set that small? I prefer Clay over plastic, but I may end up giving in to plastic if that's all that's available.
I don't get the boardgame community sometimes. they'll take $500 worth of boardgames and carry them around in a plastic trash bag because something like a game canopy is "so expensive".
Thanks for taking the time for this solid content and review Scott!
"There's no grace here."
Thanks for the video Scott!

Thank you for your time and money spent on this video! It made my decision on a very easy! Much appreciated!!

They're not dolls, they're action figures! (they're dolls.)
I really miss Boardgames with Scott, btw.
I like my dolls. I even have taken paint to them and give them all pretty colours. We sometime have a teaparty after spiking the ball in Blood Bowl.
Please do more videos. Best dude ever :)

I bring use one of those Duffle Bags that have wheels. Will be looking into Cajon Cases! Thanks! Love these videos!

This is great, I wasn't pleased with the larger IKEA bag, so I went to a store selling Cajon bags today and pick one up with handle and straps.
The meinl bag is a drum hardware bag but it would work for games for sure
This reminds me, I need to go back and finish that Reef Encounter video.
Exactly the video i needed to make a smart choice ! Thanks !
Great video, very informative!
That Going Going Gone moment, haha.
Great stuff. Thanks for sharing

hey Scott, how about a hockey bag? should be widely available in canada, doesnt look conspicuous, and can hold coffin boxes easily!

Always nice to see a video from the master - what is the name of the brown canvas bag Scott? Where do you get them?

2:45 - A "clever combination" indeed. :)
I had returned the pink bag because it didn't fit my Giant Jenga.
What is the size of the Chromacast cases were you using? There are 2 sizes on their website.
The ones I got were around 20 X 12.5 X 12.5.
Thanks, that was a quick reply. That is good to see there is no time dilation in the land of Canada. ;-p
Keep making the informative videos.
Did I fall asleep or did he not show how many games the lands end bag holds?
Oops! I had a filming interruption, and when I came back to it, I forgot to re-film that! It was about the same as the Game Canopy (the fancy one).
Thanks for the follow up! The Lands End bags, even new, seem to be a much more economical choice compare to the canopy.
I have had more fun with cardboard than videogames.

Wow you're looking old. I remember watching your videos 10 years ago. How old are you Scott?
10 years older than I was when you started watching my videos. :)
