Thank you sir these videos have helped me a lot. I just quit playing ball due to injuries and I started coaching. I understood what to do. However, I have been struggling on how to relay that to my players. Thank you God Bless

Great video, appreciate the content. I think if you spent some time on what happens on the backend of some of these plays would also be beneficial. Examples would be the F3 trailing the BR to 2nd after confirming he touched the first base bag. F1 positioning midway between 3rd and Home and watching the play develop. I know that finding footage of "non-action" is difficult though.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree and am thinking I could do a whole other video getting more in depth to it like you suggested. Although I did look for 1B trailing hitters with no luck. However, I'm sure I'll run across footage at some point and now know to keep it for an advanced video.

Yea I played travel baseball and played for coaches who played pro or college and I was taught these drills but I never understood them. But they started teaching these drills when I was in highschool and so I'm wanting to do baseball lessons and so this helps me if I want to teach

Shortstop and 2nd basemen double cutting. If the 3rd basemen is out of positon then the guy on 2nd can steal. If he['s in position then he'll most likely get thrown out if he goes. Or he wont go.

    Here for homework

I kept wondering why 3rd base didnt just cut on the leftfield doublecut with shortstop.
Ie. Lead: SS Trail: 3rd instead of lead: ss Trail: 2nd
But it's because a for sure double will allow the runner that hit to to get to 2nd base 100%
So why would you have 3rd base and shortstop cutting it with 2nd base holding 2nd... leaving 3rd base open for a steal.
At the same time, if you do have 3rd as trailman then the pitcher has to take 3rd. That'll allow the runner to steal 3rd on an overthrow off the catcher.
So the simplest and most efficient way is to just have 3rd base stay, And 2nd baseman trail Short Stop (SS) on a for sure double down left field. That way an overthrow of catcher will not result in a stolen 3rd base, there's no point on holding a runner on 2nd just so he has a smaller jump on a guaranteed steal. Just backup the catcher so he doesn't have a very big chance to steal 3rd on an overthrow of the catcher.

fROM WHAT I REMEMBER without watching, double cuts are ss and second. Or second and 1st baasemen.
