  • I'm back with a new video and sorry for taking my time; a lot has been happening. I was in Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares in October 2022 and I was looking around to see what has changed since my last visit. While there I stayed at the always superb Caleia Mar Menor Golf & Spa Resort and this time I finally managed to stay in a Deluxe King Poolside Room. You know me by now, so please take a look at this raw, non-edited out-of-the-box video that I made one afternoon while returning to the room for a wee.

I keep saying good things about this lovely hotel as I've been a returning guest for the last 20 years or so (I was here back in the day when it was an Intercontinental hotel!). Have you stayed here? If so, how do you rate this hotel? Please let me know...

Do people live year round on the golf resorts or are they just for holidays?. Some amazing property's for sale, not sure of the down sides if there are any living full time on a resort.

Hi, thanks for watching my video. I wish I had an easy Yes/No answer for you concerning if people live full time at golf resorts. The truth is that some do and some don’t; the Mar Menor golf resort has a large full time community compared to some other resorts and I know many people live year round at Villa Martin golf. I know some owners who purchased properties as their holiday homes who have gradually migrated to full time living, but these tend to be older folk who have a monthly income like a pension to keep them going. For me, I’d happily live in Spain or France, or Switzerland….I have a large list! I don’t have any stats regarding the percentage of owner occupiers against holiday homes but if I find some, I’ll be sure to post them. Thanks again for checking out my video. Matt
