Hey all, just something I'd like to make clear! A trip to Bangladesh is an informed decision you should make for yourselves based upon your own assessment of the risks. Despite the fact I believe from my experience over two months that Bangladesh is safe for travellers, this does not make me responsible for any potential negative incidents that occur during your trip. Thanks, and safe travels, Jason
Of course everybody must take their own responsabilities and decide for themselves. Your vlog has made us want to visit BD, I appreciate your videos very much. Take care!
I'm from California & planning to visit BD in some time soon and definitely keep in mind your advice. Hey....Bangladesh I'm coming to your way so please accept me like Jason but I'm not a British, I'm an American 🇺🇸
@Zero To Infinity. not true....bangladeshis are one of the most hard working people in the world....we are poor because of circumstances in last 300 years ....british colonization for 190 years and then paksitani exploitation for 24 years....bangladesh is once again on the rise...do some research about economics
I agree with you.. I visited Bangladesh 2weeks ago, Bangladeshi people are so warmth and superr friendly.. I experienced to ride and rickshaw and CNG correct me if I'm wrong. Wherever I go, I always appreciate the kindness of the people. 😍The trip I'll never forget. Love from 🇵🇭
Love the Bangladesh Series, I'm Irish and a very regular visitor there, always Solo. I am approaching nearly 20 visits in 5 yrs now. I concur with your findings on safety and locals. These are some of the friendliest people on the planet :-) Joy Bangla !!!
Wow. What a genuinely beautiful video. I mean we plan on visiting Bangladesh but this just further confirms that visiting Bangladesh is a must. You just did a wonderful service to the people there. This video should be on the home page of the tourism website.
Few Tips for those who are planning to travel Bangladesh (from my side) : 1. The BEST way to experience Bangladesh is to stay with locals. Using Couch Surfing or even AirBnb is far better than staying in hotels. 2. If you wanna see the festive look, come on 14th Feb and stay until 15th April. You will cover "Pohela Falgun", " International Mother Language Day", "Independence Day", "Bengali New Year" and many more. 3. Before you visit, make sure you have watched Jason's vlog.. every thing is there :))) Thanks Jason. Thanks for ranking Bangladesh as a No.1 country in terms of hospitality. We are honored. It was a pleasure watching your videos and I am sure I will continue watching your vlog. Its something that I always wait for :). JOY BANGLA.
Most "hospitable country you've ever visited" Most "friendliest people you've ever met" "Bangladesh touched your heart" means everything to us Bangladeshis.
I used to wait for your next video last two months but unfortunately this waiting came to an end, there will be no more video of you on Bangladesh 😞, Bangladeshi respect from Germany
nafisaanjum Oishi I’ve already visited Bangladesh, last time I’ve been to Bangladesh in 2016. I’m a Bangladeshi as well, live in Germany 😂, sorry for misunderstanding 😬
My dear friend Billam.....Thank you very very much from the core of my heart real and heart touching description of Bangladesh, there are so many misunderstanding about our country which you have swept away......you deserve a gift personally from me for this insanely awesome video........
I've been to Bangladesh for 3 weeks and the reasons why I went (and loved it) are probably the reasons why others don't want to go I had a hard time getting a VISA. The people at the consulate wouldn't believe me when I said that I wanted to go for tourism and not for business. I think that's also one of the reasons why other people won't go. They know Bangladesh for its textile industry but they have no idea what else the country has to offer. You know the infrastructure will be poor and it will take some time and effort to get places. If you don't have a lot of time to explore the country, it's not good option. I didn't mind though. There was always a bus, a train or boat I could catch and people were very helpful getting me on the right one. You know not a lot of people speak English and again it will take some time and effort to find the right places you want to go. It took me ages to find the BIWTA offices in Dhaka and Barisal to find information on and to purchase tickets for the boat trip from Barisal to Dhaka but in the end it was fun! I talked to a lot of people and the satisfaction is great when you do find what you are looking for. People are scared of what they don't know. You don't hear a lot of Bangladesh except for the strikes, poor working standards, and even diplomatic websites warn for terrorism. What I experienced was a country with people that went out of their way to help me and who were very interested in talking to me to improve their English. They also felt very hopeful when they heard that I was there for tourism and not for business. It showed their country was finally changing. And even in an under develeop tourism country like Bangladesh I tried to stay away from the only places where tourists did gather together, like Cockx Bazar. I felt I got a good feel of what Bangladesh is like, and would recommend it to everybody who has the time and an open mind. Thanks Jason Billam for sharing your experienced to us ❤Greeting from Philippines 🇵🇭
Thanks for your genuine opinions and for visiting Bangladesh. just one thing i would like to mention that lots of other countries also got language barriers such as Germany, Japan, China however i have to admit their tourism facilities are far better than us. when i went to japan i had to use Google translator from my mobile as most Japanese doesn't understand English. May be next time you can use that for bengali language
Watched all of your videos. You are the best vlogger ever ❤ Please do come back again to visit 😇. Lots of love from Bangladesh. ❤ And Congrats for the 50k Subs. Take Care Jason 😇 [ want a heart please 😇]
Couldn't be said any better... about Everything. Thanks for your kind and positive comments about Bangladesh. Its really amazing how you read so accurately about our culture (among other things) in general (right to the bone) in such a short span of time. The only thing I can add is, for all of you who wants to visit Bangladesh, do love eating meat as well, make sure to try the KACH-CHI BIRIYANI, specially from old Dhaka where Jason also had a great time. The taste and smell will simply blow you away... and the price is as cheap as a dollar or a pound. "Guest IS GOD.... they will hospitality you to Death".... so so true mate. Anyway, where are we heading next, Jason?
I have been to Bangladesh, it's a safe place and people are just friendly and supportive. People are good to talk to. Very rational and secular, religion is more personal and spiritual. I have been in Bangladesh for 8 months on a deputation from India.
Thank you for having such a positive outlook towards our country and sharing it with everyone. You literally made me tear up. I hope people will be more interested to visit our country because of you. You deserve lots of love for doing this. Thank you ❤️

Really! As a Bangladeshi, Your speech made me so proud. Are Bangladeshis really that friendly to foreigners? I didn't believe it. Tears came down my eyes.....!!!
Jason, you have a beautiful mind and beautiful eyes, you try to see everything with beautiful eyes and realize everything with open and beautiful mind. That’s why you have the capacity to appreciate generously. I wish the world could have been more beautiful if we had a people like you abundantly. Unfortunately it’s not. Anyway thank you so much for your generous appreciation about Bangladesh. This country and the masses are really beautiful , I guarantee you will never see such a hostpitable poople anywhere in the world ,you already mentioned. Pls tell the other guys to visit this beautiful country again again , they will also get the same treatment like you. I also travelled so many countries from Asia to America . But Bangladesh 🇧🇩 is the best in all respects. All the best Jason.
Sitting in your country, I am watching your video of my own country. You are such a sweetheart. You were so cordial with our people. you captured not only our disorganisation also shown the greenery and love of our people. Really thank you so much. Lots of love. Bless you.
Thanks for your lovely but true remarks on my beloved county. I cannot remember whether I have ever written any comment on any video of TH-cam but your appreciation about Bangladesh and its people forced me to do so. Hope to see you again in this country and have much better experience than this time. Lastly, you are such a nice traveller who can adjust with any situation.
Love love your vlogs! Very informative. When I travel I want to know the ppl and their culture,go in with an open mind then you get the best of what it means to travel and all we learn from others!❤️🇨🇦

Dear Jason: I kinda fell in love with this vlog, man. Very factual and to the point. If you ever come back, please remember, you have a separate room in my house, available for you at any time of the year. And I shall make time to take you to places that you couldn’t cover this time. Thanks. Stay safe.
Awww this *LAST* video got me emotional 😢😢 really is it the last Bangladeshi video 😢 I'm really gonna miss your videos.... Honestly you're the first and only one who talked about all those topics that foreigners get confused or have misconception about Bangladesh..... To be honest just in 2 months realizing all those things and explaining them so well like locals is way too hard for a foreigner unless *YOU'RE A GREAT TRAVELER* indeed *YOU'RE THE BEST* I haven't find anyone like you until now ..... Thanks for speaking the truth and not hiding anything and I really hope this will really help other foreigners who wanna visit Bangladesh .... *GOOD LUCK AND COME BACK TO BANGLADESH SOON* 😅😆😆😆😊😊
Thanks for all the good reviews you've put! It will surely help our country's Tourism. Please do come again, its been a pleasure watching your experience in our undiscovered country! Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
Spot on again Jason and very insightful and also no doubt useful for those visiting Bangladesh. I must say that your seamless adaptation to local cuisine(and that too street food) and beverages is very impressive. Even though I've visited Bangladesh a few times now it still takes me 7/8 days too fully adjust food-wise and I'd say over a 3 week stay I'd invariably get loose bowel motions at least twice; so once in 2 months in your case is impressive. I suppose it must come with having traveled extensively in your case, developing a robust internal mechanism!. Even though having spent all my life in the UK barring 18 months, as a British Bangladeshi or an NRB it gives me a warm feeling inside to hear you praise the hospitality of the Bangladeshi people at large. I would definitely echo those sentiments and I would add that a commonly held perception amongst the people of BD is that the people from the Sylhet region are the most welcoming, hospitable and family orientated community as compared to other regions/districts of Bangladesh. Is that something that you would say you have noticed from your experience or would you say there's little difference in reality? I can't believe it is truly your last vlog from BD as I've thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed each and every one and I'm grateful to you for making and then sharing them with us. I firmly believe you will be back soon, God willing. I don't know if anyone has pointed it out to you, but one of the most common ways to say bye to someone in Bangla when departing is to say 'ASHI'- which literally translates as 'I'm coming back'; so in Bangladesh people don't leave permanently but endure a short absence whilst eagerly waiting to return :-) Take care Mr.Billam and do have a safe journey back. ** Note: I know some of you may not agree with the statement above about the people of Sylhet being the most welcoming and friendly in BD and that's fine to disagree, all opinions are equally valid. It's just a belief that I've heard expressed a few times to me hence one of the reasons why I've asked Jason if he'd noticed any differences at all. Lastly, if you're really lemon tart(smart) then you would have calculated that I indeed hail from Sylhet, hence the undue praise ;-p
Thank u very much jason❤.one of the best hospitality country in the whole world.Bangladesh people always welcome foreigners.again tnx for true feedback ❤🇧🇩
Thanks Jason... Thanks for saying such nice thing about our country...it really made me proud as a Bangladeshi... ❤❤❤ And you are always welcomed in Bangladesh...Please visit us again 😊

Dear Jason:
I kinda fell in love with this vlog, man. Very factual and to the point.
If you ever come back, please remember, you have a separate room in my house, available for you at any time of the year. And I shall make time to take you to places that you couldn’t cover this time.
Thanks. Stay safe.
Huge respect for you. being a Bangladeshi, even i haven't visited that many places that you have visited. You are a true traveler.. Hats off.
Indeed well said they are nice genuine people and poor doesn’t stop them from being humble.
