Unfortunately bomb release modes for AI aircraft aren't multiplyer synchronized, yet. The bomb release sequence is supposed to be 6.4 seconds long, instead of 1.6, which would have made the targeted area 4 times as long. The formation only missed, because of this issue ... we hit fine during single player testing. Well, another issue found and added to the list of things needed to be fixed with Zonk.
Damn the graphics, your reenactments are still the most realistic rendering of what it was like fighting in BoB. I missed your vids, and i miss Darky, Crabby, Marcom and all the crew yet. Anyway, thank you for this Xmas present!!❤ All the best Fishyyy!!!
Back in 1946, and with my favourite plane! Thanks to keep this old game alive, I opened a bottle of red wine and start to watch this 🙂. Lately I flew this old game a lot and I find this still has a lot of value! Waiting for the next episode!
Ist denn schon Weihnachten?! Frohes Fest, Fishyyy und vielen Dank für die qualitativ hochwertige Unterhaltung! Merry Christmas, Fishyyy and thanks for your high quality content!
Reminds me of that scene in the Battle of Britain film, 1969, of that He 111 (Casa) skipping along the waves and over flying the invasion barges before crash landing.
The Squad will return when TH-cam's algorithm stops censoring dubbed videos or when we find a way to find A.I. actors to ensure maximum immersion for all of you.
Any day with a new He-111 vid from Fishyyy is a good day. And any day with a new BoB video is a great day. What a marvellous Christmas present! Thank you!
There were a lot of Hurricanes attacking your He 111 formation. Definitely felt like more than 1 squadron. The fighter AI were pretty good too, quite a few bombers went down. That was a tough mission!
not quite the pasting the African mission's staffel took, but the mechanics won't be pleased XD still, a good job nursing your wounded bird back to base, Fishy o7
DarkenedFantasies is still with me. Still develops the mod and sometimes feels like flying. He is the human gunner in this video. Tony left years ago. Said he didn't like the rest of the crew, the mission length and that he pretty much only ever wanted to help produce videos, because his granddad liked the videos. His two mates (Misha & Kyle) left with him. Crabby doesn't talk to me anymore, i got no idea why. He's probably busy. Marcom is still around, but doesn't fly missions with us anymore. Usually does a bit of community work. Boris is still around and should be available soon. Got some hardware issues to figure out. There were many others who sometimes flew with us, but due to my inactivity everything just faded away. I don't know what to do right now, but I think I will try to reestablish a force of active fliers. Right now the mod is not quite well enough developed for me to do that, though. Still waiting for this, that and the other to be done.
It's called Graphics Extender. www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,58926.0.html Since the official download doesn't really contain everything needed, I would like to point out my response to "aviationguy-s8n" somewhere here in the comments. The zonk file linked there has all the needed stuff. Be careful, though.
Hi Fishyyy!!! I run il-2 sturmovik 1946 4.13.4 (with ypack 1.2.3) And on your earlier videos u used graphics extender with ypack 1.2.3... But if I install graphics extender it doesn't make il2ge.ini (when I start the program) Can someone please help me!!!

Yes I was half hoping to hear this as BG music during the start-up and take-off. So I did the next best thing - played this vid and the other vid in another browser tab at the same time. LOL Still, another great video - I'm happy to see new Fishyy still creating new IL2 vids! And as always, entertaining. I appreciate the effort Fishyy takes in dividing the vid into segments on the timeline and description - makes for easy replay!
I would have liked to use Barnesy's overhaul, but my freemodding account doesn't work anymore. Dunno if I was banned or something, but I currently can't download the 3d mods, lol.
Computer games never seem to be able to really simulate how difficult and physically demanding it was to aim flexible mounted guns from bombers. Everything always seems too accurate and stable. I guess its not real life so we can't expect too much 😂
Yeah. Is one of the reasons why the allied planes had turrets. You really already appreaciate allied gun layouts, when you have to defend against head on and slashing attacks in these terrible german stations. I guess not having to physically move the guns would be an upside you notice irl.
Our mod was in development for too long. I don't have people, who are ready to fly with me anymore. DF and me didn't talk much during play. Dunno what to do about comms, tbh.
@@Fishyyy Didn't notice the other formation was Ju-88s. I think that video shows how bleedin' difficult it would be to shoot down a fighter with a single machine gun.
A lot of the smokers seemed to make it back. Are the planes that start immediately diving with two smoking engines pilot kills or is that some odd AI behavior?
I guess TH-cam did not recommend last week's video to you? Well, I think our "gamers play a game" conversations don't really match the whole ww2 atmosphere. I kind of want to include them, on the other hand i don't. The YT algorithm for sure prefers game audio only. I did not feel like writing a script & creating a bunch of audio samples to have matching voices, either. Dunno, I hope we can make a sound mod, which will add immersive gunner callouts etc.
@@Fishyyy Weird idea but hear me out: you record the gamer chat on a different audio channel as normal, upload the gameplay without commentary as its own video, but you upload a SEPARATE video/file somewhere that the gamer chat only. That way if we want the vid without commentary we just watch the regular video, but if we want the commentary we just play that at the same time as the video. Feasible or nah?
Typical youtube comment. Why not enjoy the awesome action (big ai update etc) ... nah, complain about some stupid stuff I don't even have control over.
If you google He111 yoke, you will see there is variation in yoke shape and colour, as well as the "red bits" being some padding on the yoke, which appear more of a wheat colour but due to some colour/brightness mods appear tinged more red. Is it really so significant? Also this is il2, just an older game. Do smuch small details matter anyway when you can run huge complex missions with so many aircraft unlike newer games? It is a personal choice but for me this shows the bigger picture rather than focusing on silly insignificant details.

I love this. Simple graphics, excellent physics, and coordinated gameplay.
I remember epic duels with this on servers.

Theres something special looking about he111's, great video!
Thank you Herr Ritter! At least you didn´t end up ditching in the channel. Merry Chrismas to you and a Happy New year. Billi.
Fishyyy is alive
How's Darky and the rest of the squad?
I miss your old vids with everyone on the mics

I love IL-2 1946! Somehow it just feels like you are actually flying a 1940's vintage flight sim! 😁
45:45 Air collisions are horrifying, they tend to leave no survivors.
Impressive bringing her back on one engine that far from base. That must have been some fun engine management.

The British were able to predict the size of a particular formation by listening to the Luftwaffe crews doing their radio checks.
Once more I am stunned by the quality of your videos. Please keep it up forever!
It’s been sooo long
Thank you!

Glad to have you back Fish
Thank you for another outstanding video. Your dedication is inspiring.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Grats for getting home.

1:00:00 the random twin-engined British plane (i'm assuming it's British lol) that just appears
Let's just pretend that it is ;D
Yeah, no idea what that ju-88 is doing. I think there will always be more AI behaviour, which needs to be fixed.
I do miss the videos with separate comms and povs. Do you think those will make a comeback?

Fantastic mission. How many He-111s took part in the raid, and how many made it back?
There were 36 He-111s and 36 Ju-88s overall. No idea about losses.

Hello Fishyyy
Hello :D
The cockpit detail is a bit crap ,the pilots yolk is wrong, and those red bits on the yolk are awful 🤣
Typical youtube comment. Why not enjoy the awesome action (big ai update etc) ... nah, complain about some stupid stuff I don't even have control over.
@Fishyyy I didn't say it was your fault, just comparing the cockpit of this game to il2.
