Oh. My. God. You are probably the first booktuber I'm seeing talking about this manga series! This is the most wholesome, unproblematic BL japanese drama I've ever watched 💖
The one of many things I love about this manga/anime is that it’s a romance that doesn’t take place in the MCs teens/20s. Romance can happen at any age and you didn’t “miss out” if you didn’t experience it when you were younger.
Omg I saw a comment recommended the manhwa On or Off and Shutline and I have to agree. Omg those are so good also, if you want a funny wholesome but sexy manhwas as well I think you should check out Nerd Project and Between the lines. The ones I recommended can be found online I don’t think they have a physical book yet but it is definitely worth it. On or off and shutline do have physical books
If you like manhwas as well I highly recommend you check out the BL manhwa called On or Off, and another one called Shutline. And also if you liked Blue flag but wasn’t into the ending I highly recommend you check out the BL manga called My Love-mix up.

Can't wait to get into it. (Also got the first 7 volumes of 'A Man & his Cat's because of that video too 😅) And now I might have to give this manga a try too.

I've only watched the liveaction years ago but your reaction was so cute i think i'll have to pick up the manga and the anime as well. Watching you just cheesing about out this series was so fun, made my day. Speaking of recommendation, I would highly recommend Sasaki and Miyano (it has an anime adaptation as well). It's what cherry magic is for you to me. (or heartstopper, sine its a highschool series) If you want to expand your TBR list even more, how about dipping your toes into danmei (Chinese BL novels)? There aren't that many to choose from yet as it only started getting english licenses recently and the translations quality vary but Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is one of the most beloved (and popular) BL in recent years, it has a Chinese live action drama, manhua version, as well as animated show.
Watching you just gush over this was adorable and makes me want to try reading this too lol but I've never read manga, a little afraid it will be hard to transition to that kind of media but I want to try

Watching this makes me wanna read the manga too...like I first heard of it bc of the anime, and I wanted to know how it continued (it was at episode...2? when I found it) and then the live-action showed up and listennnnnnn Kurosawa's actor does such an incredible job, Adachi's too but the confession scene where he feels like it's gonna be the end of the friendship like it truly hurt to watch I sobbedddddd

I checked out Cherry Magic last month on a whim, read all 9 volumes in 2 days, and I've read them all over again three times since. Love them. I highly recommend My Love Mix-Up (complete) and Sasaki and Miyano (in progress) for more adorable BL hijinks. Those are both school manga. Also, My Summer of You is a currently three-book series that's super cute. Crossplay Love is my latest obsession, it's a crossdressing story that plays a lot with gender and it's just hilarious. I also only started reading manga recently, but I'm having a lot of fun with it too!
I REALLY want to read the manga so badly. I started watching the new Thai version which is still airing, but I couldn't stop myself from watching the Japanese version and the movie (absolutely obsessed with the actor who plays Adachi now). Now I'm watching the anime as well. I'm absolutely obsessed 😅 This video came at the right time!

There's an older manga called Konbini-kun by Junko that I think you would really enjoy if you can find a copy, super cute and one of the characters rescues a stray cat. Also the anime My New Boss is Goofy (not technically a BL but basically a BL) has Cherry Magic vibes. I love how much you loved CM and love your energy in this vlog king. We need a vlog for volume 6 when it comes out 👀

I would love to see you watching some Thai BL drama, there's a lot to watch for free on youtube. Vice Versa is one that I finished recently, and it's about parallel universes.
