- And just like that, we are right back into the biggest baddest door cars our awesome state has to offer... And this was only a small handful of them!
With all the favourites and a few making a comeback for the 22/23 season it's going to be massive judging by the racing we were presented with at Powerpalooza!

What is it they pour into the air intakes? And what's the purpose of it?
Methanol mate, stops the butterflies on the intake freezing over as the blower hat is being hosed with fuel on the inside and it runs super cold! 🥶

What length of track do they drive?
Pretty much everything here runs the full 1/4 mile apart from Top Fuel which run to 1000ft
As for the 1st race, to quote the announcer "It was ugly, but it DOES the job"! If we were comparing rock songs to say, celebrity cars here, I don't HONESTLY KNOW which of the 2 is best.... I would have to give me 2 pence-worth & weigh in w/ the following comment; I don't know if everyone's seen the movie Christine by Stephen King, nor heard the song "Whole Lotta Rosie", but it seems to me 'Murican-mind that there's a COMMON thread here & they BOTH FUCKIN' ROCK!!!!! The reason I say this is that the Gold Mopar is Christine's MORE EVIL twin step-sister, yet shares Rosie's characteristics "weighing MORE THAT 19 stone" I had the good grace to be Raised on Acca-Dacca in the 70's & visit Perth in the 80's, both as a MARINE & a SAILOR, on the SAME command (Ship) over 7 yrs.. What do we call it? Normally “Fast” 😁 Not all tracks in Australia show km/h on the boards but our track does, time slip still shows both km/h mph though

Hi , Question from the USA........... can the Perth Track handle Top Fuel cars? Im just wondering if there is safe shut done lenght of track?
Absolutely it can mate, plenty of videos on our Channel of Top Fuel here at our track 😉👌🏼 They run to 1000ft, the total track length including shutdown area is about 3200ft long
