Prices have definitely gone up. That’s why the market is going to level itself up. Most people can’t sustain with dropping snake prices and rising costs. Eventually production will slow and prices will rise again.
I’ve always heard mixed things on the white plains show but I know a lot of people love it! I’ve never been to a northern show yet besides Tinley but I’d definitely like to get out that way and see how it works vs how we tend to vend down south in Texas. All great tips. 2:36 I seen exactly this at the show on Sunday lol. Some kid puts a clear container with a gecko on a table with other animals in the same type of container. Easy to confuse some stealing going on if you just walked up to the table and saw him scoop the gecko and spin off.
I get more concerned with pest and disease control. I put a lot of work into keeping my animals perfect. Not saying that the animal they purchased was not perfect, but that’s the same as me taking a random animal and placing it into my racks for a few minutes. Only take a few seconds for a mite to crawl off
Some great tips for attending an expo. It drives me crazy to see people toss their newly purchased animals on everyone else’s table. Most vendors will allow you to leave the animal with them while you continue looking then you can go back and collect them before leaving.
It’s a big one for me. So many times people will put their WC animals that they just got on my tables while they are talking or rearranging what they are carrying.
You are a very good interviewer. I can feel your enthusiasm even after speaking to many subjects and you put people at ease, they come off relaxed and interesting. Thanks for the video

What bothers me most about shows is vendors with no labels for their animals. No sign identifying the animal. No sign showing the price wanted. How are we supposed to buy your animal if you tell us nothing about it????
Great video! I love this approach! Most vendor show videos have too much fluff and it distracting. You get straight to the point, show off the animals, ask good questions, features some of my favorite breeders and as always give us great information! Thanks for taking us with you. ❤🐍
This is a great video, and I like the format. Everyone gave unique advice we all can use, but the most important underlying thing is to love what you do, and learn as much as you can about it. I also love the fact that she said to give your animals a proper home when you can. This reminds us that we are in the care of living beings, and should never forget it. Awesome job on this one..

I 100% agree. I always have the full genetics and price everyone of my individual animals that I bring to the show.
I also go to other animal shows.
Fish people are good about labelling their fish.
Bird people are terrible.

Great video, I want to start vending but am nervous of bringing something home on an animal I had at a venue.
That’s the biggest challenge with vending shows and why I only do select shows now.
