I have this amp coupled with the SV212 angled cab. Love it. I am based in the UK and these amps retail here new for UKP £720 - £780, so the value rating for UK based musicians is very good.
It's the same in all of Europe. There's a reason Friedman and other Marshall clones ain't doing so well over here. Most people prefer buying the real deal, especially when it's more than half the price of a comparable Friedman (just an example).
@@sv1201 I saw. That's crazy. That's the normal price (incl tax) in Europe. I guess your price is still excl tax, isn't that how you display prices in US, without tax? Imagine if this was the normal price in US, Friedman wouldn't sell as many amps as they do today :P
Same here. I have owned almost every model of marshall that came out since 81 and also splawn and friedmans. The sv20h is my favorite out of em all. Raw plexi snarl with beautiful cleans also.
Niice. I'm considering picking this up as my main amp, but I keep going back and forth between the 1936 2x12 and the studio vintage vertical 2x12 that matches.
@@nic0vide0 I had the same dilemma. I went with the 1936 V30's because of Lambchoppa678 videos (V30 seems to be versatile). I think either cab would match great though 😁
I didn't know you could get a LP 50s in this color (and with an amazing top!). I have only seen them in goldtop, heritage cherry or tobacco burst. Where did you find this one?
This is my favorite personal LP 50s. I sort of got it by accident, it was a Wildwood exclusive (hence the top) and it was posted as is for sale with a broken pickup so I jumped on it. Wildwood was kind enough to send me a replacement and it's been my #1 Les Paul. The LP 50s Standard is my favorite of the current production standards. Thanks for watching
@@PlayandTradeGuitars Congrats on finding this amazing guitar!! How do you think these Wildwood exclusive compare to "normal" USA LP Standard and to the R9s? Given current prices, I've been wondering what is the best value for money.
In my review of Les Pauls the regular run Gibson USA 50s standard is my favorite, I especially like the gold top personally! Custom makes beautiful guitars and now that Gibson sells Custombucker pickups separately, that's a great potential upgrade to a regular Standard too. Wildwood is like other dealers - zZounds, CME, etc in offering upgraded tops and/or pickup configurations for the extra money but stock Gibson USA is impressive. One particular good value is the 50s Standard with p90s, because the price is still $2799: www.zzounds.com/a--3979398/item--GIBLPS5P900?siid=257867 @@jls8
@@jls8 Wildwood has 59 Tribute Humbuckers in theirs which are very close to Custombuckers. These are basically poor man's Gibson Custom and are very good.
Even on 5w ( which is barely any quieter than 20w) this baby will make your ears bleed. Without an attenuator the volume is totally INSANE. Buy one but save your ears - buy an attenuator. (Bugera PS1 works great for very good price)
someone must get down to the details for why u.s. prices are very high for Marshall sv20h and the whole series, feels like there’s criminal minds involved with this greed,
I realize why I own a big loud old 73' JMP50. Because the guts don't look like a Dell computer. What happens is if It craps under warranty the poor tech splits $50.00 labor working half the day on a PC board. Been their done that.
To me this amp isn't very pleasing to the ears, i can't find the sweet spot to save my life! At the moment I'm not using an attenuator and it's loud as hell and undefined.
Poor "zack behind the camera". If hes plays he should get a little screen time. Unless he doesnt want it ( I know I wouldn't). I hate playing in front of people.

Great amp, the Rolls Royce of Marshalls, I’ve got the same set up ie.Marshall SV20H + 1936 Cab, great combination.
I'm very happy with my Origin 50 head and 2X12 cabinet. My Les Paul sounds great through it.
It's a lovely amp.Far more versatile than the detractors think.Worth experimenting with al those inputs.

curious about the v type speakers in the sv212 how are they?

God, I love that sound!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely superb, I love mine. If they wanted to improve ANYTHING, it would simply be the noise floor on the Bright channel.
what year is that Les Paul ? Sounds amazing.
I just love mine. Had it for about six months

I haven't tried it, but my gut says the matched studio vintage is the way to go for this based on size/looks alone

So it won’t do clean?
