BEAUTIFUL!! So much great info in this video. You did an EXCELLENT job teaching and inspiring us!! Loved the tip on how to get the shelves back in through the slat in the door frame....wish I knew that a couple of years ago. The cabinet looks lovely with the light shining through the back of the chicken wire.

Excellent tutorial and some really handy tips. I think that my quilting experience will definitely help with the chicken wire. I love me some hexies and a Grandmother's Flower Garden. I have to laugh because just yesterday I really needed a design wall in my quilt studio. I had a pass through from the formal living room to the formal dining room. I have gone through several occupants in this house. My husband is a contractor and lives in Jacksonville. Im in Pensacola. My daughter lived with me for 5 years when she had her son (he still has his own digs here). Mmy son moved ot when my mom and dad moved in from Mobile, after my dad passed away, my son moved back in and is saving to build his own home. Anyhoo, after my grandson came along, I had to give up my stained glass, and s neighbor in tied me to quilt at the church. So, the dr bec as me a scrapbooking room for my daughter and the lr became s quilt studio. I have redone every ugly corner of this 1980's house- tubs, baseboards, floors, new paint, etc. I finally got a real dining room with "stressed out" furniture with a crystal chandelier to make mlm happy. The back of the China cabinet was horrific. Unfortunately, I did not know as bout chicken wire, l ool l, so I put a 5x5 Kallax on the back side in the quilt studio. That left me no room for a design wall. I thought for a while and we ended up putting a piece of snake iron on the top of the Kallax. I painted it white, so it barely shows. I got some really chunky magnets and I hang my flannel-backed tablecloth up when in need it. My friends are amazed. I love it because it's easy, cheap and I don't have to have it up when I'm not using it. It makes it easier to stare at and pet my fabric!!
I think I am going to wait until August and hope that my husband gets to come home for vacation. With the stupid 'Rona, I haven't seen him since January. Usually I go back and forth for a weekend about once a month, hit the IKEA and several really great antique stores that we both love. Plus, he gave me a Doberman puppy last Christmas. I took her in January and we hiked with her. I got the flu and pneumonia about a week after I came back, ab DC then the world stopped turning. All church activities stopped, and I've stayed home and stayed safe with my 88 year old mom (although truthfully, I'm adopted and her good genes would outlive me any day, she's never been admitted to a hospital, I have nothing left of the inside of my body and plates in my neck!)
Anyway, sorry to be so long-winded. I feel like I've found a friend. I'm very accident prone, so I'll wait for the hubs to do the chicken wire! My copays will thank me and the ER is scary!! Thank you for your tutelage and your Christian witness, too.

Thank you! My favorite part of the whole video was your pep talk. "You can do this!" I'm in the midst of packing up one house to move to another that we are remodeling just like you did with yours except for ours is a disaster right now. The chance to make it our own is going to be an enormous but very satisfying! Thanks again for the pep talk. I CAN DO THIS...I can pack up the house that I lived in for 35 years and get rid of all the junk at the same time!!!

Wow, such an impressive upgrade, I would be ecstatic to have that piece (& the other similar refurb delights shown) in my home! 😍😍😍 I must compliment you on your skill to demonstrate the process in a relaxed easy to absorb manner, giving all the necessary instructions, tips & options! Thinking beyond your project by thinking of others, going that extra mile to note suggestions for pimping it up that little bit more for others individual tastes. I've a similar piece that I've been dilly dallying on, not committing as to what to do but now thanks to your good self I've the best advice, guidance and inspiration to go for! 😊🤗
Only found you today, had to watch the craft room tour, all & 3 parts, awesome space, amazingly organised and lots of pretties to keep you inspired; will definitely be utilising many of your tips on the last run to get my own craft space completed! TYsoVM for sharing your creative solutions, tips, tricks, advice and for keeping it real 👍🦄🌈 Sounds like your hubby is a great support and that is so so important, especially with busy family life, he 'gets it', he 'gets you' & obviously wants to ensure you have a special space, an empire, where you can excel from 🤗😍😘🙌💪🤜🤛💃🕺👍👏👏👏🍹🍸Looking forward to catching up on your channel, good vibes and kind intentions hitting you & yours' way!
