Aloe Vera is not a "Rooting Hormone", that's a misconception. It acts as a antiseptic gel but it does not promote rooting...There is no natural substitute for rooting hormone that you buy off the shelf..
Also just because you have leaves growing from your cutting doesn't mean that you have roots...I see people posting this all the time about cuttings..Let's see the roots

You're right, just got some mulberry cuttings and planted them after dipping them in rooting hormone. They were doing great with many leaves growing and then randomly a week ago they all just started dying.

@@bfmteddy522 natural hormones in the cuttings themselves promote growth, it’s always good to use a smaller pot like the one in the vid, let it lose a little moisture so the soil pulls together away from the inside, then turn the whole thing upside down in your palm and check for roots in the soil. Keeping the soil too wet will also promote a lot of leaves before roots develop.

@@Poteluz perhaps the cuttings themselves dried out before roots were able to form properly, I always place a bag over the pot secured by rubber band or tie wrap, similar to when I’m rooting roses or grafting mango trees, this keep the humidity high so the cutting won’t dry out.

Yea it’s possible, certain varieties like Maui and Thai dwarf will grow leaves pretty fast however it does not mean the roots are fully developed yet.
