Is it just me or has Assassin’s Creed been going in circles with the basic structure? That being off a single or group of assassins having been a secret and massively influential part of one side during some form of conflict while the Templars are doing the same for the opposite side. We’ve had Egyptian slaves, pirates, London gangs in the industrial revolution, the French and American revolutions, the crusades... Rouge feels like the only unique one in that it wasn’t solely and assassin and templars taking sides in historical conflicts. I really wouldn’t be surprised if WW1 was next, though I would appreciate Assassin gameplay set in the real world.
