AMAZING! This new album is 🔥 Definitely one of the most creative artists in Norwegian metal. People can hate as much as they want, from behind their little keyboards, not having ever done anything notable themselves! Meanwhile, this incredible artist keeps bringing true ART to the stage and soothes the minds and souls of those willing to receive all the feelings he reveals! You know, just because you don't get it, doesn't make it bad or pretentious. Check yourselves for frustrations & biases! It's 2024, not 1994!
On what logical basis does an artist who has created his own band have to change his name just because he does a different genre. The artist doesn't have to please anyone. The creature is his and he decides. His creature can change, evolve, mutate. If you don't like it, move on.@@iggrut
It's a 'new' Trelldom for sure, but what else would we expect from the might and dextrous Gaahl. Definitely a hypnotic similarity to the older material however. Really looking forward to the whole album.
Is no one going to remark on the video? It looks like they found five random people and paid them $50 to run around an abandoned building pretending to have seizures, with near complete reliance on extraordinarily shaky camerawork and speeding up the videos to create any semblance of “spookiness.”
I’m just gonna out and say it. I really don’t like the songs they’ve been releasing and I will almost certainly not buy the album. I hated when Satyr did similar experimentation and it just sounds harsh and annoying to me. I really do hope that people love the new Trelldom sound, but I love black metal, and this is most decidedly not. I have high hopes for the new Gaahl’s Wyrd. I found the first album and EP to be groundbreaking black metal. More of that please! Trelldom really loses me with the saxophone.
@@louisrastig I don't mind that you disagree with me, nor that you choose to insult me even though I gave no insult to the band or to the fan base. If you'd taken a moment to read carefully, I even wrote, "I really do hope that people love the new Trelldom sound." I'm not sure why you put the phrase "expectation fetish" in quotes, since I never said I had one, so it's clear that you're a fanboy, a sycophant who will love anything that Kristian does no matter what. I will have you know that he in fact has great disdain for your type, and values freedom of opinion just as he values freedom of artistic expression. Unless you know him personally, I question your assertion that he is an "intuitive" artist. That seems to be a judgment best reserved for him personally, or for those who intimately know him. He doesn't want fanboys like you. He doesn't want sycophants like you. He doesn't want cult worshippers like you. He has intimated, if not directly verbalized, this sentiment in numerous interviews. What Kristian has said he values most is freedom. Freedom not just in art, but in life, in opinion, in personal expression. I do not know him at all personally, but I would expect, based on all the interviews and documentaries that I've studied, that he values an honest opinion over one given simply because it has the name Gaahl attached to it. I admire him as an artist. I've listened to the new Trelldom album and I do not like it. It is not suitable to my taste in music. I am not required to like it. I respect Kristian's freedom to create the art that he loves, and he respects my freedom to embrace or reject it.
@@wishcraft2751 Aren't you the cult worshipper here?:) I embrace and respect their artistic openness, and find it very lazy when people only accept the genre they are used listening to. Thank you for these words of wisdom.
It's great to see Gaahl exploring a wider range of musical expressions.
But its sad that he has to do it under the Trelldom name.. Could just have made a new Band and noone would really talk against it.
He is a very versatile artist indeed🖤

Love it ! Nneeed this album .. gives me dark jazzy, Swans vibes
Totally! Some definite Children of God-era Swans atmosphere
Great assessment. Definitely a Swans vibe. I’ve been tinking that it reminded me of something, but couldn’t put my finger in it. You nailed it.
Damn I love this new stuff, it's avant garde! Listened to alot of Imperial Triumphant and I sort of got the same vibes. Chaotic but good. Nice!
Love the drums work!
great album

Excellent 👍
Can't wait to hear this whole Album!
Perfect!
Creepy i love itt❤

Nice experimental shit. But I miss Trelldom. The real one. Raw, powerful and dark.
Artists evolve.
@@louisrastig yet this shit is a big downgrade from the first two albums, evolution is not making shit vocals with a bunch of effects....
Beautiful and disturbing.I love it
wait it's not a joke, there IS NEW TRELLDOM
que pedo!! no sabia de esta banda!!! que bueno asi podre soportar unos cuantos años de vida
Just the name, not the music.
It is also the band, not owned by you by the way.

No one is keeping you from playing the video and then opting to stare at the ceiling.
This is definitely not what I expected, but for some reason I like it. Name it artificial development. 👍
Kinda sounds like the Norwegian Shining.

Gaahl is a highly intuitive artist and not there for your "expectation fetish". True fans appreciate and respect this.
