Metallic silver is a nice color for sure it was once available but got discontinued ages ago I wish they bought back some of the OG colors but I’m open to seeing new colors

The new liquid silver, or whatever Tesla is calling it, is ridiculously close to the existing metallic gray. Yes, absolutely bring back the original silver color. We don’t need a slightly lighter blue either……and seriously, Elon’s personal color shifting maroon? Sounds like another overly complicated solution to a really simple problem.
And lastly, do you ever hear legacy auto companies whining about how hard it is to accommodate new paint colors? No, never.
@@stano49 - Part of the reason why they run fast towards the hypnotizing light of bankruptcy. Legacy auto manufacturers don’t seem to question, they just do. Then look for government bailouts (taxpayer dollars) when their plethora of poor decisions stack too tall to see over.
They should offer dark metallic green, hopefully in the future

A German model Y was tested in the uk a performance version . Richard Symons I believe , anyway he said the suspension has been worked in and is a bit softer compared to US version .

We have not had really much problems with either our 2018 lrm3 nor our 2020 model Y….service was efficient and mostly had the mobile service which I love.

I am glad they are just adding new ones that are open to others and not just opening up existing ones. There are a lot of EVs and plug-in hybrids out there that charge pretty slow. Abyss Blue looks awesome
And their charging port locations aren’t standard as Tesla’s and it can block Tesla cars from charging.

Could you do a TH-cam about navigation / auto steer. I live in outstate Minnesota and the speed limit on many roads make auto steer worthless. How can we get the info corrected.
All Teslas here in Australia, other than early S&X have CCS2. Those early cars can fit an adaptor. Our M3LR, is perfect for long distance hops between chargers, in this sparsely populated country.
I have booked my LR model y in December 2021 and in the app it’s getting postponed every month. It’s started with Jan then March, May, June, July and now it’s saying Aug to September window . Do we know LR model Y which month bookings are being served?
My Configuration- Model Y long range, Blue color, white interior and 7 seater
We picked up our Model Y last August and there was an issue with the passenger door seal. We set up an appointment and two days later a technician came to our house and replaced the door seal. Sense then we have had no issued with our Model Y and we are enjoying every minute in it.
There is nothing to stop Redwood from becoming a battery factory in addition to producing materials. That could be a long term goal. Doesn't even have to be for automotive application maybe just power storage.
Delivery on my red MYP from Berlin moved from May 2022 (when I ordered in January) to May 2023. Don’t think new colours coming any time soon. Just white and black cars so far…

Service is an issue with all manufacturers, mainly that they try to rip you off for everything, every time. Won't be too hard for Tesla to be superior in that area as well. Glad to see Elon focusing the team on it.
My wife's Mercedes went in for an AU$1300 service and the 'found' an extra AU$3500 of 'things' that needed attention. (BS)

I'd be happy if I could get a mobile service within a month. I took delivery in March and have had to get 2 service appointments so far, both of which were about 6-7 weeks away. The issue still isn't resolved and I'm not even sure if I want to schedule another one at this point.
There is a good opportunity for 3rd party repair shops to specialize on Teslas. I would pay to get things fixed instead of wait for warranty fix for 2-3 months.
You’re already paying a heavy premium to buy Tesla. You should NOT have to pay for THEIR lack of craftsmanship! If you’re that frustrated just sell it and move on. That’s what I did! Sold my sh*t quality Model S Plaid and never looked back.
States (Texas) will be a problem for aggressive expansion of the charging networks. Texas has a weak grid and obsolete energy producers (Oil) owns the Government.
Suggest Tesla continues to open their charges to Non-Tesla units but need to design Solar Power Charging Stations to be grid independent, and cut deals with 7-Eleven, Quick Tri, Race Trac etc for combo charging/ fueling to avoid State Government obstruction.

One important detail about the NDA for Cadillac is that customers who were selected can't share ANY details about their driving experience with ANYONE outside of GM. Kinda crazy 😱

06:44 While I think the colours are okay looking, they are way too muted for my taste. If I ever manage to get a Tesla, I will likely just go with the default colour that does not cost any extra, and then wrap it with something vibrant.
This is a trend I see a lot, not only in the car industry. I recently went shopping for a new S-Pedelec and while I found a bike that fits my technical needs, it is not offered in a colour choice I like. 😩 So now I bought a 11.000€ bike which I need to spend more money on to put it in a colour I like.
I have heard it’s best to wrap a car that has dark paint, black ideally, because unwrapped gaps between panels and around the doors aren’t obvious. If you have a colour that shows the gaps, then the wrap job might be more expensive/difficult.

Midnight Silver is only no cost on Model 3 and Y. S and X buyers pay a premium for that color.
I love the Toyota add before the video started about how we should shop at Toyota dealerships because we get free one year car wash. They are getting desperate!!!!
The single complaint I have about my Tesla is that the paint is impossible to touch up. Personally I’d be just fine with simpler paint, forget the whole dimensionality thing (although I seem to be the only one who things so lol).

For all these car companys when promoting new options to sell i wish they can give true or better estimated milage for battery life per charge especially for the lower priced car(20,000$) if they are selling the car not just on material price but the battery capacity/mileage people buying gas vehicles still ask whats is the mpg/fuel economy but now im assuming its change to battery capacity/milage on a single charge its a good thing Tesla superchargers are going to be available for all ev cars but i would like to go farther with fewer stops having to charge the vehicle for (15-30 min) average
Tbh I like my white car it doesn't get very hot and the heat resistant tint helps a lot too. I came from a black car so it's been a nice change.
In September 2021 I got my brand new Model Y (made in China), after having driven my model 3 for 2 years (made in the USA). I was very pleased with my model 3, no need for any special service. In mid April this year, my neighbour backed into my model Y, and damaged the rear bumper and the back panel on the right side. What I want to make a complaint about, is the amount of time that has gone since this incident was reported and to the moment it was fixed! I just got a telephone from the garage that repairs the car, that the car now is fixed. IT HAS TAKEN NEARLY 4 MONTHS!
The biggest problem was that Tesla could never give any information about the delivery time on the needed new parts. This has been very stressful for me and it has been impossible to plan and do the road trips that we had planned to do this summer. I don’t know if I will purchase a Tesla the next time I’m in the situation for buying a new car, even though I very like driving my model Y and how it performs.

Relating to new battery tech, if someone gets the battery replaced in a Tesla do they replace it with the current battery tech available or replace it with the battery tech used for that model? I’d hope that it would be newer tech
Probably the old battery given it would be easier to do with the current mounts in place (unless the new batteries are installed and mounted identically)

The Chevy Bolt and Leaf are the most affordable but aren’t performance vehicles like Tesla. The Bolt is only pushing 200hp I think.

Hey Ryan what’s the longest time to wait to get a Tesla ? So far it’s been 6 months for me but I’m hearing 1 1/2 years? I’m on the east coast. My friend in California got his less then 2 months. I got a model 3 and I’m worried that they are prioritizing cars. I’m hearing model 3 is the worst in delivery.
My family has been waiting over 8 months for a standard range that’s supposed to come in next month, and I’m on west coast. I’m not sure how it would be on east coast but I hope you can get yours soon.
@@DumplingOfficial yeah it’s a nightmare here on the east coast and I found out the east coast representative was so sure of himself that moving where you receive the tesla wouldn’t change the delivery date. That was proven to be false. Originally supposed to received it in Baltimore but moved it to New Jersey.

Missed the report that Diess had been canned at VW. I think that is a big mistake on the part of the board of directors. They probably didn't like Diess acknowledging that VW is behind Tesla.
