@@kdxbricksanalytics I bet they’ll all fly out of stock again. I picked up a Golden Idol set myself when I started this venture, I paid full price and still haven’t built it but I plan to. It’s an iconic scene from a timeless movie, plus it looks so cool with all the play features. This time last year I was hunting for deals on a daily basis. Space is my problem now with my loft pretty jammed. I’m at an interesting stage with stock over a year into retirement. I’m enjoying a bit of selling to free up space before I go again. Great to see Jake putting some more content out there, but like his own comment I blame him for the Medieval Blacksmith 😂. Lesson learnt there.
Think it’s about timings too! Brickheadz seem to be great with quick flips? Other than the Disney I sold all my Prof of Hogwarts and Battle of Endor for over £10 profit… not great but ok for a short hold!
@Officiallywilf That’s decent. There was such hype over all 3, such a shame they aren’t doing as expected but it looks like the HP Professors are doing better. I’d certainly take a £10 profit right now but that’s going to be a lot harder based on my buy in. I had no idea about the May 4 promos at this time and just missed out starting this venture later in the May. How many of each did you pick up?
@ 3 of each plus set 40495 which performed the same! I wanted to pick up more of the HP sets because they sold straight away but the prices seem to have trailed off so I’m glad I didn’t. They strangely were the best performers, 2023 seemed to be the year of over hoarding as more people got on board and listed their retired sets that forced the prices down unfortunately. That Disney brickheadz set is an amazing set too but I just can’t seem to sell them because of that very reason, so that will be a long hold! It’s great to see more UK channels btw… very informative for UK based trends 👍
@ I grabbed just the one 40495, that seems to be doing pretty well right now. I also only bought 1 of the Duck Tails set and about 4 or 5 of both Donald and Daisy Duck just to name my Disney Pick ups. It’s hard keeping a track of current prices when you have so many different SKUs, another lesson there for me. I went deep on the Woody / Bo Peep BHz on sale, I’m waiting for Toy Story 5 to list them. Maybe the performance of these sets put people off investing in BHz in 2024 which is why they’re doing so well. I was very high on all the Sonics and LOTRs. Thanks for tuning in. @ All of the LOTR sets have performed incredibly… even before LEGO had officially retired them, I was worried about them being over hoarded so I have sold all my stock as the demand was high! So wish I bought more…
@ If you’ve viewed my previous videos, I picked up about 75 LOTR BHz. Yes you get your insider points but these were one of the rare sets worthy of picking up at full retail. All of the Sonics BHz are smashing it too. These were a gut instinct purchase for me as a Sonic fan. Either of them could’ve been a bust.
@ Always. I watch everything both of them put out there. Great content creators, their podcast ‘Brick Talk’ is the best. I can’t quite believe what happened to DG if you’ve seen his latest video. Such a sad tale.
@@GetBricksAndChill I’ve never had anything like it. I gained 29 new followers on Marketplace in 7 days, I normally get 1 or none a week. Just think the algorithm is working for me lately.
@ And nothing special at that, only an iPhone 14 with a plug in 🎤 A lot of trial and error, I was losing quality on older videos where I was further away.
