@@briank8482 Visit Europe sometime. Many cities do not require the need to own a car. Vegas should strive to be like that if it wants to truly be considered a "tourist" destination.
@@ddrhazy True, but American cities are spread out more than other cities that have more efficient transit infrastructures than other cities around the world.
This is a nice way to take a look at different parts of Vegas for ppl who want to see more than the tourist parts. Especially those looking to move there. Its not all shiny and pretty. That was some nice camera zoomage to the Strat.
Thank you for the ride. My original interest in the CX bus was to see if it would be an alternative to the Deuce to get from the strip to Fremont Street. I think if one had more time than money this would work. Lots of other interesting things, seeing Las Vegas from the back side of the strip.
Please look at the current RTC bus schedules to confirm the route of the CTX bus to/from Harry Reid Airport. This vid was shot when the CX took Tropicana west to the 15 to get Downtown. The 2024 route shows the CX using FLAMINGO to get to the highway. If you decide to take the RTC from the airport into Las Vegas…SPECIFICALLY ask the driver if the bus you’re boarding will be going to the stop you expect. I’ve encountered times when buses share a bay at the airport and I would have landed up who knows where if I hadn’t ask the driver BEFORE presenting my bus ticket “Will this bus stop at Flamingo and LVB?” (insert your own destination). The drivers are kind and do want to help you. All walks of folks in Vegas use the buses…always be situationally aware when riding them!💕
The Historic Westside is where the Moulin Rouge Hotel and Casino was located on Bonanza. Also, when Las Vegas was segregated, it where Black families owned homes in order to work on the strip.
Thank you for the information. I remember watching a video about the segregation, which is usually glossed over whenever the history of the strip is reviewed.
I went way north to Centennial Hills. Nice area! I ate at the Burger King and the bathroom door did not need a code/key to enter. It's different on the eastside. lol
The route is from Skye Canyon Park and Grand Canyon to the airport. As this is and express, there are only 11 stops. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes for the route and it connects with various other lines. Search "RTC CX Line" for more information. Happy riding.
Riding the bus is the second best mode of transportation in Vegas other than owning your own vehicle. Thanks for sharing.
115 degree weather starting to be the norm during summer in Vegas, but still you think cars are good, eh?
@@ddrhazy Yes, if you can afford to own one. One can get many tasks accomplished with a car.

You are right, it's not all shiny and pretty. Some areas are ugh...
It's nice to see you travel to "parts unknown" this time around, instead of keeping yourself around the strip, Fremont and their surrounding areas.
You are correct. Sometimes I feel like a dog on patrol, hitting the same areas over and over again.

The strip to Fremont is not bad, unless there is heavy traffic.
Great video. If you love Vegas, this is soothing.
Thanks!
great videos i love watching them..
Glad you like them!
That suspense at 42:50 was awesome 👌
Thanks man!

Good advice!
Of course of all the days you want to show us the way, there’s an accident, thanks for the video
And only $2 one way cash, right?
Always an accident in this town, always. And yep, $2 one-way for locals. I bought the $5, 24hr pass.

The bus sounds like it's a little underpowered.
No, those transmissions are built like brickhouses.
I never thought of it like that. However, in this heat, they will conk out.
Thanks!
What is the mini pyramid-like building at 31:10?
That is part of the Clark County Government Center. It's across from the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.
So where were you headed there camera guy?

Where does this bus go? Are there many stops, does it connect with other bus lines? How long does the whole circuit/route last?

does it actually pick up passengers
This is an express route so just a few stops and if people are waiting, they will be picked up.
I only tend to use the deuce unless I am going to/from the airport. I love using vegas buses.
