If you liked the yearning and obsession from Call Me By Your Name, The Song of Achilles is (a much softer) version of it!

Cool video! I read Call me by your name last year and the writting and atmosphere that the writer creates is incredible, it kind of changed my life too... You should do a video about other autors that do the same, that use words like magic like you said 😁.

I fished this book yesterday and I'm feeling empty, like I'm missing something and I can't find it anywhere. André Aciman made me love his writing in ways I can't explain! My favorite book, definitely.

Hi Sofie, this is the first video of yours that I've watched. I have not read Call Me By Your Name but I watch the movie every once in a while and cry my heart out. I'm thinking about reading the book, but it seems I might just move on to something else. I am intrigued by A Little Life. It seems wonderfully macroscopic which most books cannot capture. I think I will postpone reading it as you recommend. Swimming in the Dark looks perfect. But, of course, I have not read Giovanni's Room which makes it the perfect opportunity to read it. Thank you for the recommendations.

Thanks you for watching! If you have not read Call Me By Your Name, that would be the ultimate recommendation from my side. I have reread it many time, and it does not take anything away from it even though you have watched the movie beforehand, because André Aciman's writing is so incredible. But I hope you will enjoy some of the recommendations in the future :)
      Love Sofie

If you see this, *please* give me more book recs like these. They don't have to be as perfect as these (because i religiously read every single one of these and they are literally perfect and now any 'normal' book i try to read is just so boring) so please i love how these books are actually so well written and all of these touched my heart in the perfect way so PLEASE if you have any more book recs that are even slightly similar to these please tell me! (Also I loved this video you should totally make more book vids ;) ;))

This is the sweetest comment. Thank you so much. I have this problem as well. When you love a genre of books so much, that nothing can compare. I would recommend you maybe read My Policeman or any of Taylor Jenkins Ried's books. I loved those for different reasons, but both were page turners, and beautifully written. Hopes this helps. And I will look into making more book vidoes. Thanks u so much!

I like the heartbreak of Call Me By Your Name... The summer love was beautiful, but then it came to an end. And elios world is not the same. I love the beautiful sadness of it all... Any books similar to that?
