The difference in down time is motivation…. The tech’s “working” on yours got paid whether they fixed it or not … the loggers knew they don’t get paid til the truck is running…
2.5 days downtime for a blown motor, pretty impressive. The big difference between your truck taking 8 months to fix and his truck taking 2.5 days is it took your mechanics 7 months 27.5 days to figure out which 24 cent part went bad. In his case it took 0.31 seconds to figure out 'oh, the motors broke' and he had that done before it stopped rolling.
They've got a few advantages in the cleanliness department. Old truck engines have a tendency not to explode all over the shop because all the components are huge and heavy and annoying to lift and you've got a big ass crane anyway so you may as well leave them on. Cars and newer trucks have all sorts of wiring and plastic parts and bullshit you need to switch over, so you end up with piles of duplicate not-quite compatible parts.
Casey, make sure you get enough rest amigo! you have serious dark under eyes and look exhausted. We want you on the channel a long time... make sure you are getting rest!
I noticed you were in a few episodes of Matt's off-road recovery TH-cam channel as I am watching the entire playlist for the Largest Wrecker Build. And I was like wait, I know this person. But then it hit me it was you Casey. And I am like wait Casey lives here in Oregon where I live. And you are. So I guess you went to Hurricane, Utah to help Matt. By the way I was already a subscriber to you and to Matt before I made the connection. One of these days would be cool to come on a ride along with you. I am already a fan of your channel and love watching your recovery's too.
I put steering in the same category with brakes, yeah its helpful but the brakes tend to slow you down and steering will basically go along for the ride. As long as you don't hit a pothole they'll stay pointed straight so it just a useful item but not necessary for speed!!!
Ahhh the good old days! Pre electronics and a 425 Cat! Back the screws out on the pump and AFR. Advance the timing and make sure your 40 psi of fuel pressure and let the horses run!
Man love the vids it’s insane how fast you pump them out every day or two. I can barely keep up 😂 if you keep going at this rate your channel will get huge eventually and we can say we were here from the start
All my life I have been convinced that independent loggers are possessed by a work demon. Only 2 and a half days down time is indeed a monumental task for a motor swap in those beasts.
I installed a OPS bypass system to my 2009 Freightliner from almost new and ran it almost a million miles. At $500 a service it pays for itself in a year or so. You don"t run the miles I did but it will save you in the long run ..Check them out. Keep up the good work you do. I wish all the guys out there were like you.
ENJOYED THE VIDEO! Lots of work done so quickly AWESOME Job to those guys!! Not surprised, very irritating, and mind blowing how individuals can get things done better and faster compared to the months it takes a business that is specialized to do the job, equipped with every fancy tool, and have multiple people to do the work. Businesses are being paid to do a job but most of the time not done correctly, of course so they can control the time and money. Never understood you pay to have a job done, lots of money but the people doing the work dont want to do the job or do it correctly and act as if they are the boss over the person paying them. Be Safe! Keep Your Head Up! 👍
Oh this new #setpower fridge is way better than the last one I had from the display that the dog can’t adjust to the flippable door the voltage meter and much better cooling
Not saying should have done it this way But "I" would have brideled off the steering knuckles Even been know to use a dolly bar as a spreader if broken rack or missing drag link
The difference in down time is motivation…. The tech’s “working” on yours got paid whether they fixed it or not … the loggers knew they don’t get paid til the truck is running…
yes .. 100% this fact
Professional Fisherman , Add weather,distance/time, crew $$$$$
Just goes to show a good mechanic is worth his pay & a great mechanic is priceless
I’m not impressed by how fast they swapped engines, I was impressed by how clean their shop was.
Nice to have a customer that actually knows how to help out.
Yeah. Sure wish I had some like that.
I came here to say the same thing. I think that this is one of the few customers that has working experience with this.
The difference between a mechanic, a technician and a parts changer.

I'm glad that old engine gets to live again. Respect to the "Masters" for getting it where it needed to be.
“Gotta be 3% Smarter”😂😂👍😎 Love how you help your friends ❤ Keep up the great videos and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Mechanic just earned a big bonus. Very impressive.
That shop is amazingly clean considering there was just an engine swap done in it.

The moral of this story is: If you blow an "O" ring, better just change out the engine!
Take it to Casey's current mechanic, he's the very good guy!
2 1/2 days down time is damn impressive . ! Keep that guys phone number handy .
that roll-back is 100 % becoming the shenanigans / helping a buddy vehicle .. and i like Casey's style on that
As Casey employs the power of "The Force" to resuscitate this lifeless engine to run once again. A person of many talents for sure.
That is unbelievable to me!! Can't believe they got all that done and the truck back into service in less than a week!!
It’s nice to see the shenanigans truck out and working
New engine..."Wow! This is definitely an upgrade from the old place I was in!"
The engine is 35 years old. It was new to the log truck owner.
@@judithburke1539 when you say you're new to the channel, we don't think you've just been born.
The block shooting out is the best
Lucky #7 survived all the shenanigans.🎉
It makes us happy too when it starts 😎
That sure was a fast replacement. Great video, Casey.
You can tell a real ,mechanic by the coveralls they wear . This guys has done some work
Casey, make sure you get enough rest amigo! you have serious dark under eyes and look exhausted. We want you on the channel a long time... make sure you are getting rest!
3 percent smarter. Words to live by
Casey, who was running your cameras today? They did a NICE job. Good angles and interesting footage.
Casey I am sure your friends benefit a lot from you owning your own heavy rescue business so they can easily do things like this
I would love to go pick up that beautiful cab-over that was sitting next to it.
That was a quick turnaround. when you're in a business you want to get things fixed as quick as possible!
With used engines you ALWAYS need to take the head off and inspect the valves, pistons, channels, etc no matter what seller claims
Top notch comments so far on this video lol. Hope you and yours are doing well Casey.
Glad you didn't get rid of that beautiful truck. So reliable🎉🎉
I love that truck too Casey..

That's a good crew to call in a pinch hands down
Gotta love old diesel engines/trucks. Get the air out of the lines and she fires right up
Ahhh the good old days! Pre electronics and a 425 Cat! Back the screws out on the pump and AFR. Advance the timing and make sure your 40 psi of fuel pressure and let the horses run!
Not an ounce of snow to be seen, but still a very interesting video.
LOL at Casey's expression when the truck spits the block up the deck right beside him!
It worked out pretty well. Have a good one guys. Stay safe and healthy.
The donor truck looked like it had a steerable lift axle on it… that would work well under the roll back
We discussed that..
What did your buddy tyler do with the rest of parts truck? I don't need drop axle I need steer axle and springs. Located in Oregon too
That Green Cabover K100 KW next to it is sharp, I wish you could have gotten more shots of it.
WoW, cleanest shop I’ve ever seen for loggers, in Texas they’re not happy unless there’s a deep mud hole underneath whatever broken. Cool video
That was a fast motor change out! They’re lucky they had a working engine to swap in!
That Thing Sounded Really Good !!! 😜👍👍👍
THANKS FOR VIDEO!
Great work!! When I was a heavy truck mechanic we tried to get them back on the road as soon as possible,Time is money!!
Cool. Hard working people really are impressive
That is impressive turn around time and that shop is extremely clean for what they are doing
Nice turn around time. 💪👏👏👏
That is a great instance of time is money there
Man love the vids it’s insane how fast you pump them out every day or two. I can barely keep up 😂 if you keep going at this rate your channel will get huge eventually and we can say we were here from the start
That was a clean shop.
You can always tell the real mechanics by their overalls! 👍
That truck doesn’t look that bad except all of the stripped parts
Impressive turn around. Thanks for the video
Quick motor swap was impressive. I was also impressed with how clean that shop is. Was that the first truck repair they did in there?
All my life I have been convinced that independent loggers are possessed by a work demon.
Only 2 and a half days down time is indeed a monumental task for a motor swap in those beasts.
Good job Casey keep it up buddy I love your videos. Thank you so much.
Nice pete
That was impressive.....Down time 3 days then back on the road.....good job...stay safe and see you on the next one
Dang it looks nice now 😁 Looks like they got new rims and tires, tanks etc too ✌️ New old stock 😅
That is an impressive turnaround! 😯
Great video Casey
Thank you for another great video.
I'd cast the bad o-ring in resin and make a key ring for the roll back.
That Kenworth cabover needs a short!
WOW , THAT IS IMPRESSIVE!! GO TO A LOCAL SHOP FOR A CAR AND IT COULD BE MONTHS!! THANKS FOR SHOWING WHAT CAN BE DONE!!
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!😊
Can we get a walkaround/closer look at that green cabover sometime? That thing looks sweet.
That sound! Great job getting that new/old engine in that truck.
Salut Casey!!

Casey, I can't believe you'd be so careless that you blemished the fuel tank on such an other wise perfect truck.
The truck that the engine went in wad pretty nice. Butttttt I really like the look of the green k100 where you picked it up at
10:15 is a good angle
Impressive work,
the joy of adience participation \, just need to be able to sit through commercials without skippy di do dah
You're making my hernia site hurt! Just 10days out from surgery. Those hoods are not light.

11:39 O-Ring My, My! Lessons are a paid education, you attend and pay for the lesson, then move on to the next adventure.

THE TOWING WIZARD
Yeah rollback video!!!!
Not saying should have done it this way
But "I" would have brideled off the steering knuckles
Even been know to use a dolly bar as a spreader if broken rack or missing drag link
They rebuilding the other motor.
