Most fall to believing Advanced Alien civilizations were the masterminds of human life. You stated that, that has holes since we then question who made them. But my question is, who made God? Unless God is just an infinite energy source? How is God’s existence defined. And how is that different than intelligent aliens far more advanced and humble than humans?
Simple version, God is a Person, not mearly energy that's new age thought, secondly he exist outside of time, and time as we primitive thinking humans is a much more complex reality than we conceive it 2b.
Hey u missed that everthing in genisus is created with age, that is a major doctrinal point that could explain alot, and a global catostrophic flood explains alot more about the archeology we find. Also don't we have light existing without sun in revalation, and beyond that couldn't God make light before the sun? And plants can live a day without sun just as u point out is also true about water. Also I find anything 2do with time seems to be the most strife causing issues in the church. If God is omnipotent then literal interpretation works fine, no? , and seems 2me to attribute more diety and majesty to God, but I will consider ur points more, but thankfully its a secondary issue although an important 1. Ultimately whatever is found 2b scientifically true in the end has been done by God, and maybe its even beyond anything we've yet concieved of, being that we are MERE mortals and mostly ignorant, thankfully it's not an issue to divide over, and 1 day we will know 4 sure. Also I believe things esp genetic things begin as maximumly complex, and devolve corrupt with age, not begin simple and gain complexity, commonly called mutation which is rarely beneficial, like a 5 legged frog isn't better unless ur a preditor, I don't think that's the way of anything now or like ever, Because entropy rules, unless stasis of entropy occurs, that only possible by a force greater than the entropy, which God can and likely has done, which can explain some things, esp in respect to time and the appearance there of. I've been hearing some science about expansion of the universe not sure the name for more space being added between planets like blowing up a balloon, and also red shifting, both casting doubt to the earth/universe being so old. Also the sun can only last so long but not sure how many billions long. Also figuring into aged apperence is a cataclysmic world wide flood totally ripping the whole mantel of the earth apart and mixing it like a washing machine, unless that's also just myth. I'm torn. Mark seems like a smart guy and claims he is a skeptical thinker. But this talk shows no evidence that he has read the relevant literature to support the claims he is making. Charitably he has fallen victim to the very human failing of motivated rasoning and confirmation bias. Or he was deliberately disingenuous and I sincerely hope this was not the case. If you found him convincing, if his talk seemed to reassure you that your current beliefs are true I would challenge you to do your own research. Read what experts in evolutionary biology are actually saying, read what experts in the field of abiogenesis are actually saying, read what current research on the fossil records actually show, investigate his claims about the impossibility of speciation.
