I agree with the Winners recommendation. I would also add Goodwill and Value Village especially if you are new to Canada and don't know exactly what you may need or like.

Hi, thank you for this useful video. We are moving from the Netherlands to Central Alberta next month. We have already bought stuff for the Canadian winters in the summer sales. We chose Lowa Arctic boots, The North Face, Didrikson and Fjallraven that were on sale. My wife is Canadian and knows exactly what Alberta winters are like..

Thank you very much! Glad you found it useful! That is a brilliant way to do it, and those brands you mentioned sound like an excellent choice for Alberta. Wishing you and your wife all the best for your move!

Hii! Thank you soo much for your tips!!
I’m planning on staying in Canada from August to December in 2024. I’m from Brazil and, for me (and due to the convertion rate from Real to CAD dolars), a budget is more than necessary kkkkk
Also, I’ve NEVER stayed in a place that the temperature dropped bellow 20 degrees celsius and these tips regarding winter clothing are GOLD! Thank you SOOOO much

Lady, your husband or husband to be is blessed. Not too many people think or act the way you do. You'll be truly happy indeed.
Are you in Toronto or Ontario generally?
