I own a PP TS and think it's a good value. I don't care about pano roofs, cooled seats, heated rear seats, 360 degree cameras, or anything that I will need to replace that I don't really need to begin with. Plus, compare a Highlander similarly priced and see what you get. I got my vehicle about 2500.00 under MSRP. That isn't happening with other brands.
I agree, don't want a glass roof, cooled seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, or open hatch with my foot. However I would like a 360 camera.
I would suggest waiting till the upgrade the interior like they did for the CRV and Pilot. This interior looks so 2016. I would hate to have someone buy this then next year it changes to the way the CRV and Pilot looks. Guess I will wait one more year.
Kudos to Honda on at least two points: a mostly integrated touch screen and a fuel door release button. But where is Brake Hold? No pano roof? I never thought I wanted a pano roof until I bought a vehicle with one. Now it's a must-have. And I don't like the split ones like on the Telluride and Palisade.
I'm really hoping an electronic parking brake and brake hold show-up next year. As for pano roof, I specifically don't want one. I guess my reasons are 1) rarely have backseat passengers, 2) crash safety, 3) if I ever "camped" in it, I wouldn't want a glass roof for temperature and for protection from falling anything, and finally 4) if hoodlums were to vandalize it, especially if I was out of town with it, I'd rather not give them the option of shattering my whole roof. Maybe I overthink everything. 😂
Any sized hole in the roof is a no go for me. I live in south Texas and the sun will fry you. Also I have owned several sun roofs and they all leaked at some point.

It’s still a 9 speed automatic trans. Honda has used its 10 speed auto trans, up until recently, exclusively on the Acura line - until they used it in the 2018 Honda Odyssey for the fist time, and now on the 2023 Honda Pilot.
10 speed auto trans sucks sooo bad I got a 2018 Honda odyssey and already have issues with delayed power. Idk if anyone else have issue but I’ve heard the same thing on other forums. Worst is merging on the freeway push the gas nothing happens. Bad delay on power at a stand still, out of nowhere van tires starts spinning burning out and takes off. People must look at me like I don’t know how to drive. But haven’t taken it in yet.
Has anyone else heard about the passport having transmission issues? Been debating on the passport, ridgeline, telluride, stinger, santa cruz or a camry! Can't decide since I can only afford one of the 6

Can you get heated steering wheel and GPS navigation with this trim ? Or is it not even avail? I need GPS for when off road, and my phone doesn't work. Garmin is a pain, i want it in the car. I need heated wheel for Raynaud's (my hands turn blue) - may seem silly for some, but i must have it. Last... I would want to remove the seats (on my own). Will that leave me with a constant 'warning'? Or disable my airbags? Thanks...

And since it weighs less, the power here feels more substantial with the two sharing the same engine. The passport has a huge trunk. Could of fit some small seats in the back lol
That’s sounds good. I have a 2020 CRV going off lease soon and was looking at the Pilot and the Passport. I think I lean to the Passport. I basically keep all my dirt bike gear in the cargo area, my dog on the backseat and tow my bike on an Aluma trailer, but I would like the option to use a hitch carrier again. The CRV tongue weight is too low for that now. A little bump up in cargo area would be nice too.
Why do you keep calling it a crossover? It is not, and never has been, built on a car platform by any definition, the passport is not a crossover. I enjoy the reliability of the Honda brand, but I have to say I’ve become more and more let down when I see videos like this. Honda must upgrade some of their vehicles. The fact this vehicle has no digital rearview mirror, 360° camera, ventilated seats, upgraded infotainment center, and all digital cluster, etc is beyond disappointing. Look at the new CRV. Why in gods name did they come up with an instrument cluster that is half analog and half digital?
That half digital is also on new Trailsport Pilot and will also be on Passport as well. Parts shortage for full display. Actually Honda has a huge parts shortage for parts. So they are downgrading parts. Many of them you don’t even see.

Blake hold and 360 view cameras are a must for a car in this price range. Pano roof would be nice, but a slightly bigger one would work also.

I have a 23 Pilot and a 19F150, both have a 10 speed transmission. Smooth as silk, but the search for gears all day long. Not a fan.

as a honda mechanic the crvs are great just make sure to do the transmission service and rear diff service!
I love Honda but in that class I prefer the Rav4 Hybrid. Good gas mileage, responsive, plenty of room
